depends how long its been missing now. I've had Hermes go missing/no scans for a week in the UK and still eventually turn up.
Oh! It's not moved for 14 days now. It was going from the UK to Italy.

Wouldn't I use the same proof? Aren't they under the same umbrella?
Out of curiosity, if he were to open a case with one, and it go against him, would he be able to open with the other?

Would that have a bearing on outcome of this?

eBay and PayPal are now separate companies and a case can be opened in one if it fails in the other. Any reassurance given by eBay would not apply to PayPal who have an absolute requirement for proof of delivery to defend an INR.

Italy is a known problem destination, many if not most sellers refuse to send there due to issues with items being lost en route.

    Great :(
Hopefully either the buyer doesn't think to do that or PayPal are more lenient that you think with me.

Yes I have thanks. eBay tracking just shows loads of 'enquiry resolved' since I've been calling MyHermes for updates etc.

Italy is notorious for its slow/poor postage!

If the buyer hasn't opened a dispute just do nothing until they do,
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

This might be a bit naughty. But if close my PayPal account before the buyer has a chance to make a case. Will there be any repurcussions?

Scummy!!!! Your paypal account would be in debit to paypal, it would probably be difficult to open a new paypal account and would be associated with your selling account?

The buyer would be credited by paypal as I understand and your paypal account be in default.

Yeah it was suggested to me but I didn't like it either. I'll let it play out and see what happens.

The technical answer is that you would not be able to close the account until 180 days after the last transaction has occurred to give time for all types of chargebacks.
