quiet weekend planned
catching up after a hectic April, but being busy has got into a bit of a habit at the moment, need to take some time to chillax.
won't be NSD this weekend as the cupboards are bare and the car needs its MOT. Sunday will be cheapish, but there's a local beer festival we've got into the habit of attending so if its not dreadful out we'll go to that. Community is important to us and you can't build that stuck at home, and although spending isn't always required in this instance a £10 will be needed. Monday could be a NSD but part of chillaxing might involve a NT visit which ALWAYS means coffee and cake (sorry no exceptions not even for :money: )
some point over the weekend I will catch up on my admin and report back. Feeling a bit better about it all than last month which was a bit of a fudgeI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Hi Mark,
Just dropping by, definitely take some time to relax this weekend, down time is important,
I have to say I agree that no visit to NT places is complete without the obligatory coffee and cake, we usually take our own coffee (I'm super fussy) but always splash out on the cakes.
Have a great weekend!Wobbling my way out of debt one month at a time

found your diary after being pointed to it, when i asked for some male diaries. (a lot seem to be women, especially where the OH doesnt know the full extent). so its nice to get a male slant.0 -

Have crunched the numbers and its been a long month, but we've just about managed to hold it together, with everything on budget except for Groceries. which was £250 over our target (which itself is quite high). I can only assess that we have been eating less freshly prepared food this month as we have both been busy, plus having a fuller house than normal. We need to focus on this, as OH has moved jobs to one that is more rewarding, less hours but also less well paid by £200, so we will have a double whammy going on. The big picture looks good
- Start of year - Debt 0% CC - £8351: Now £7150 with £1750 in regular savers Target 31/12/2019 = £0 - still on target
- Start of year Car Loan - 2.8% - £12K: Now estimated £10.1K - Target 31/12/2019 = £6K - still on target
- Start of year: Mortgage £132K: Now £126K Target 31/12/2019 = £118K - still on target
- Weight - 117KG (getting chubby): Now 118KG - Target 31/12/2019 = 100Kg (Not at all likely TBH)
- Steps - Target daily average (per week) 10,000 - as below now at 6000
Steps wise, I have been better this month averaging just over 6000, with a definite upward trend. I enjoyed walking the streets of London and will certainly carry on doing that when I can. Locally delivering leaflets has been a useful addition to the total.
Weightwise, it's not been a rollercoaster, it has literally been a flat-line from the start of the year to this one. I'm not quite sure what to do to step it up, but no doubt being slack at steps isnt helping.
Other news - my FIL has bought us both a week away on a cruise as an early anniversary present (its a big one) so we will be away for a week all inclusive - which is nice and should be cheap!!, but I doubt it will be spend free !!I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

so DS2 and I went to the cinema to see Avengers: ENDGAME - and very good it was too.
Annoying my work discount site (which I can use to get quite well discounted tickets) was down for maintenance which I found out AFTER I had promised him we would go. So instead of being £15 for the pair of us and some snacks it was nearer £25 - so that's more than I plannedI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

thanks! i'll check that guy out.
just a thought on the weight loss, depending on how you feel about it (and i can only speak from experience).
the keto diet worked well for me last year (6st lost, but since took a break at xmas, and havent gotten back on the wagon i've put on .5st, so 5.5 really lost).
the idea being fat doesnt make you fat, its the insulin in carbs which responds with insulin spike - this hormone is responsible for the storage of excess fat. plenty more info on line.
but its roughly your calorie needs (calculated on height and activity level etc), split 70% fats (good fats), 25% protein and 5% carbs.
as i have mobility issues, i cant rack up the steps like most would, so im doubly proud that all the weight loss came from diet alone.
just a thought as i read it was one of your non money goalshello - yep definitely a bloke!!
