Properly nice walk into my London office. Although I did cheat as it was taking a lot longer than I thought. 2 miles by foot, 2 miles by bus. Will do the same this evening and may get over 10000 steps for the first time in weeks
This is the best way to squeeze exercise in to the day. Great :)

I have started reading your diary , you sound a very busy person. Kids are expensive, they are no better when they leave home , they come home and raid the fridge !

thank you yes walking at work is easier in London as in other places you drive and park near the office and it then seems odd to fit in a walk. Even a lunchtime stroll isnt as satisfying a long schlep into the city

Thank you Sunshine Girl - yes very expensive, but then I am soft as anything, and try and support them through difficult late teen / early twenties. nearly 2 out of 4 are mostly independent (nearly as DS1 has started a business and its been a bit slow over winter)

so another lovely day down by the coast dropping DD2 back to get ready for her next term. it was scorchio, until ice creams (pack of 3 magnums 30% off at the coop - 80p each) helped. We then had a beer in trendy pub and followed with an ASDA shop for her next couple of weeks. very healthy and frugal but still was £80

busy weekend - boy do I need the Monday to recover.

lots of chores - we are doing a 3 room shuffle-
    * DD1's room is now DD2's room
    * DD2's room was emptied into DD1's- which was quite tidy/empty) is now full of DD2's stuff
    * DS2 room will be moved into DD2's old room after it has been washed (done) and painted tomorrow

To complicate things DD1 dropped off a whole pile of stuff as she is moving rental properties, and that is in the lounge and will wait until DS2 room is empty before going in there

In other news both today was a NSD and yesterday was a L(ow)SD. Although to be fair Friday was a HSD!!

hi Pidge. I'm hoping for a NSD - really determined to get a grip on the drip drip drip!!. while all the big bills go out automatically (and affordably) its really the discretionary and unplanned spends that are doing me in at the moment.

hey ho - just finshed moving some of DS2 stuff into the room - but nothing that will interfere the painting (just white left over from our downstairs refurb last year)

DS1 and his GF cooked us a nice supper which we at out on the patio - very civilsed and a lovely way to spend the bank holiday. much envlivened by an ebay bidding war breaking out on his old car - due to finish soon, and now at a comfortable level after being way low for most of the week

DS1 car sold for a bit less than we hoped. But it was old and off the road since he got his work van. Very pleasingly he has offered a few hundred quid to me to knock off his tab which I will accept and use to reduce the overdraft.

Currently the overdraft is mostly money owed in expenses but which I have yet to claim partly out of business and partly because the system is seriously flaky and I lost my first attempt after an hours work aargh. Will try again tonight or tomorrow but it’s a real PITA

so did manage a NSD today

also managed to complete the room swap upstairs while OH sorted out downstairs. So now we have
    * DS2 in his new room, which is minimalist for now
    * DD2 in DD1 old room with just (!!!!) her stuff in it pending a final sort out when she gets back from uni
    * DS2 old room, now emptied and cleaned and refilled with DD1's stuff pending her new flat

I am shattered - and the local tip has had a large number of decluttered bags. OH is going to go through all the clothes as I didn't have the courage tomake that sort of decision

Wow been such a busy week. Helping my local party out with local elections so have got lots of steps in and get to know my community better.

Busy day in London today but also managed a NSD as unexpectedly breakfast and lunch were laid on and travel was on expenses so doesn't count.

Pay day has come and gone. Numbers done over the weekend and will give a status report.
