Yes - I am on a discounted gym membership for now (an offer they made to those struggling with weight loss which I was and still am), but still £25 month. I was doing well at the end of last year, but then my role at work changed and I lost my routine
Jermey Hardy seems to have done so much that I wasn't even aware of which is a sahme, and for someone who spent his whole career focussin on live shows I never got to see him, or didn't even really look.I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Loved Jeremy Hardy. So sad he has gone. We saw him a few times live. My sort of stand up.Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Lucky you for getting to see him.
My day today was made more difficult by using a desk at work (I was in a different office from usual), where the usual occupant had pretty much got a full on sweet shop arranged under his monitors. I wasn't going to nick one of his but it made me really want to go and buy one but I wanted today to be a NSD. I left work triumphant and with my wallet unopened only to get a message from my OH to pop into the large Tesco that's nearby as we needed some chicken for our favorite satay sauce - one tin coconut milk and one jar Peanut Butter + (if extravagant one sachet Sainsbury's satay sauce for a bit of spaice)!!!!!
In other news I looked through January and taking into account bank accounts, the odd CC spend and cash spends all as recorded in my SS - I only managed 1 perfect NSD out of 31 in January. Can't do much about the start of month spends but need to cut down weekdays later - so I will be focussing on that and steps this month.I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

A good start to the day today I am having to frop my OH at work and on Weds she starts late, so I took advantage and went down to the gym and did a long session on the treadmill (dark and wet outside). so started work today on 10000 steps. I will have to work late but that's not a problem
also my DD was promised a voucher by the garage where we got her car, and it arrived today £50 restaurant voucher which she has said I can use. So that's a bonus not really MSE to spend many thousand and be pleased with £50 or is it. As it happens she is vosotong this weekend so I imagine it will get used with her :-)I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

a mixed day today highs and lows -
- I pretty much broke each and every on of my targets as I had left my lunch and my wallet at home (so had to use credit card which I carry with my phone)
- a good journey into one of my further locations in the morning, yet a journey from hell on the way back 3 hours instead of just under half that - I may WFH tomorrow to catch up on wasted time
- some money shifting triggered by prompt payment of expenses frustrated by falling foul of some online banking rule I hadn't heard of
- not a lot of progress on my core work project, but absolutely stormed ahead on one of my secondary targets
- my reading group (think pub) ended much earlier than usual - but didn't have to buy a round as a consquence
- got a nice looking curry for me and OH from M&S - turned out to be super hot - so had to go out and get the blandest curry in Tesco's

another average day yesterday - working from home ended up a bit distracting so I will have to catch up on Monday. This weekend is busy with family - I have one DD visiting now (had a nice meal in and she is doing some arty stuff with OH today - I will join in later), and visiting my other DD (about 2 hours drive away) tomorrow to catch up and cheer her up a bit (got the mid term blues :-( )
I have been a bit eyes off the ball on my spending but don't think I went too far off the rails - worst was the currys at M&S ending up with a basket for £17 when I would have spent £4 at Tesco's. I think I just need to avoid the posh shops - although in my defence it was at a service station during my monster drive home so there wasnt a lot of choiceI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Family stuff sounds fun.
I always slip up in M&S too. So much temptation there and when you are tired from driving it is easy to do.
On the upside at least their curries are good and still cheaper than a takeaway
well done on your steps this week too. Puts me to shame...:oIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

very true about the takeout - at least I went shopping rather than picked up the phone
I don't feel like my steps are that impressive - seems to be a couple of big ones a week then can't quite get round to it. must do better
have been distracted this week, but busy week next week then a week off by the seaside - so hope to reset a little thenI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Nice weekend just chilling with my DDs one after the other. Meal out yesterday was OK except the venue messed up DD1's order - typical! - at least it was still vegan. paid most of the bill with the voucher we got so whilst its still money it didn't feel so bad
then down this morning to the seaside to visit DD2 and top her up with Groceries - had brunch out in her local value cafe - which wasn't too bad at all. went out for a long walk along a short pier (most of the walk was on the promenade).
Proably cost £150 for the weekend plus DD2's grocery shopping which was pretty healthy and good value, but that was another £60. Lucky Feb is a short month, and my roulette wheel of expenses incurred and refunded is n my favour this monthI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

no spend day nearly achieved, just had 3 letters to post - DVLA, Ebay and a complaint to the pub so £2 for that. I try not to delay sending post out as it just gets left if its not done straight up
worked from home again today as a bit poorly but it went better today, was a bit quieter than Friday and OH had a kind offer from a friend she has helped who took her out for a long lunch at the garden centre
DS1 girlfriend came back from Cornwall with a bag of pasties for tea which was a very nice gesture.
My reduce financial complexity objective is not going well since the new year - I now have one new credit card (for DD car) and 2 new bank accounts (one for work and now a new one in preparation for a switch later). I just can't stop - my OH complains she wouldn't know what way was up if I got hit by a bus - but we do have plansI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
