Ahhh, but what will be the key to you getting a good night's sleep? (you posted at 01.39!!!). Take care of yourself davesaver... Its a marathon not a sprint and all that.A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it

After what has ended up being a bit of an expensive month, I'm back on it from tomorrow when payday hits.
I've downloaded ms money and I'm ready to make note of every penny spent.
I was off sick (unpaid) for a day and a half so I need to be very much on it.0 -

This made me laugh... hope all is well and that your plans are running smoothly. Working nights definitely explains any problems with sleeping, it totally screws up the body clock.
5 days remaining until the end of the first quarter! I have spent a scary amunt of money on developing Frugaldom and still have quite a lot left to do before I will be entirely happy with progress. The holiday cottage we bought is feeling much more comfortable but we haven't managed to refurbish the annexe yet, haven't finished decorating the house and I'm now preparing to sell one of the holiday caravans - I keep putting off in case anyone wats to come visit this summer!
Grocery challenge is going great this year, thanks to the friends who visit most weekends after passing supermakets between 5.30pm and 6.30pm (you know who you are - the bag people! :rotfl:). They often bring me a bag of whoopsie goods. We were trading for eggs but since the incident with the mink killing my chickens, I have covered the costs with real cash, sometimes as much as £2! :rotfl::rotfl: A carrier bag of whoopsies can last me all week, but I keep hiding the sprouts at the back of the fridge as neither of us lie them al that much. I'm thinking bubble and squeak is going to have to be on the menu this week, just to use up the d*mned sprouts! At 7p for the pack, I'm sure not chucking them on the compost heap! :rotfl:I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

I know I could get cheaper but I have self imposed principles.......prefer to support a local independent optician and prepared to pay a little more for it...its just my 'thing':D I also pay into a 'health scheme' through work and will get some if not all of the cost back.Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Payday for me on Friday and it’s been a long and expensive month but I’m determined not to dip into already allocated money, except maybe the “tooth fairy fund” which has £4 in it. I’ve only got 57p in my purse and very empty cupboards. Opened the emergency uht milk this morning but could do with some bread and eggs, might make a loaf (think I’ve got enough flour and I've definately got yeast) and sit tight on the desire for eggs; I can always fill the boy with toast and jam. On a positive note started new job nearly 2 weeks ago and it looks like an extra £30 in salary this time round, got £43 from TCB and £20 back from utilities so overpaid mortgage by £63. Also should pay off balance on cc this weekend then start building £1k emergency fund.:TSPC #023 SPC 12: £125.86[/COLOUR]:SPC 13: £214.98: SPC 14: £297.41 SPC 15: £237.27 SPC 16 £335.39; SPC 17 £662.09 SPC 18 £20MFW #21 Mortgage start Dec 2015 £79,950; June 2025 £19,394.00 2025 OP £1589/COLOR]/£2,000 MFiT T6 #3 £19070/£25,500 (72.82%%) MFiT T7 #3 £2050/£21,930 (9.34%)0

ALL your chickens?
Sadly, yes, 6 laying hens and cockerel, all gone.I have one laying hen at home with a couple of retired, non-laying pensioners. Thankfully, 2 ducks have started laying so I am now no longer eggless.
