To all of those interested in making your own beauty products I had an email from the b0dysh0p advertising Shea Butter beauty recipes - check on their website under the Shea butter tab at the top of their home page and it gives quite a few recipes. I notice they have a 25% off code at the tope of their home page and free delivery over £25.00. However do check out other suppliers for cheaper products as BS is expensive. I'm only signed up to their email to make use of their occasional freebies.I am disabled 11 years with CFS/ME and also have problems with my working memory0

A QUESTION FOR YOU ALL
In 3 words (or less), what does the word 'frugal' mean to you?I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

I forgot to post a 'Welcome to Spring' message to you all - internet access hasn't been the best here so posting is always goung to be sporadic.
Rural living - we are that 1%
Daffodils are all flowering here, crocuses are springing up at Frugaldom after the brds scattered my bulbs far and wide, the garlic is up and there are buds coming on the fruit trees. My fabulously frugal plan to incorporate a 'rosehip farm' looks plausible now that the bushes are all starting to bud so there should be plent of frugal vitamin c supplements being created in the future. I made about 25 litres of apple cider vinegar with the last of the apples and I'm just starting to think about what veggies I can plant but will be happy just to get enough carrots, onions and leeks to last me. Peppers and tomatoes would be great but I' just not the best at getting them going early enough in the year for them to produce anywhere near what's needed.
Keep up the good work on budget bashing. We're one sixth of the way through 2019 already and before we know it, we'll be a quarter of the way there. Spring to action and double check your budgets, alter them if needs be, just to keep your household accounts balanced. It isn't robbing Peter to pay Paul if Peter is spending on non-essentials.:)I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Made a good discovery yesterday, needed to re do the seal on the bath. Managed to get silicon seal from Poundland. It has actually done round the bathroom window as well which was quite drafty. Not sure how long will last but seems as good as more expensive variants have bought previously.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

February was a good month for me, got a £300 (annual) bonus from work which I was able to add to my savings, reactivated a dormant bank account and opened a regular saver account which pays 2% so I can spread my money out.
In march I plan to start a first time buyer ISA to maximise my return on my savings and probably another savings account as a Christmas/ Emergency Fund into which I will save £500 over the next 9 months.
If all goes to plan April could be the month I have more savings than debt, I'm really pushing myself to save hard this month and could achieve this 2 months earlier than planned. When I achieve this it will be the first time I'm debt nuntral in over 22 years.0 -
