Think if you watch an auction carefully and pre-set yourself a limit (don't get dragged down in a bidding war!) and you could probably get one for as low as about £160/£170. I've seen them go for that much, and that was a few weeks ago when I sold an unwanted upgrade, mind you I got £370 for it! Was very wary as the one before and the one after went for about £220, got paid and no comeback yet!

What sometimes happens is a scammer bids a silly price - like £360 and so it pushes up the price of some idiot who has more money than sense into paying his top price for it - £370!!

The person who won was a newbie, the one at £360 wasn't, so I though it was a scammer but they're were UK registered and sent an e-mail straight away saying they will pay by cheque, cheque was received and I hung onto it for 2 weeks (to be safe!) and fingers crossed all is well so far!

thanks for your replies. I personally wouldn't buy one off ebay as no guarantee, autheticity etc. I'd gamble a low priced one, but not at that
price, lools like it will be the one I saw or the one in above post thanks.

Opt for one that is listed as new and unlocked to O2 or all networks and one that uses their own photo and not a stock image, and someone with decent feedback. Suppose you could get the one you mentioned and sell the headset and recoup some costs.

well, I managed to get one y'day for ............£19.99!!!! My dh has just got a Nokia 9500 but as he is on payg with o2, he can't have full internet access unless he is on monthly, so we rang o2 to order a free sim card so he could be contracted, and they suggested we look at the range of phones as lots were free on contract so we could get a phone too. asked how much to d500 was and they said 19.99, so I have ordered this on contract, dh gets the sim card from it, and I just have to buy a payg sim card for mine, he can still keep his present phone number and I get a very nice phone for under £20!!!
