Just OH and I yesterday and today, meal worked out fine and we both enjoyed turkey breast and all the trimmings. OH has been cycling this morning and I walked into town for some cash which I need tomorrow, I completely forgot about the hunt meet by the castle, I didn't know there were so many people in my county, let alone my small town:rotfl::rotfl:

Soup to be made from left over veg and bendy celery and joint of beef to be cooked later, may experiment with GF yorkies (wish I had bought frozen ones for OH:()

I am glad that everyone survived Christmas day, quiet here, but prefer that. Meeting with some of OH's lovely family tomorrow, hope the sun shines as going to a lovely little town, known for its Iron Bridge.:D

Hugs and spoons in abundance for the taking.

Did nothing much yesterday except have a dinner exactly the way I like it. Ate it about eight o clock, it was a bit late in the making...One friend came round, otherwise very quiet, watched some Bill Bailey, which was funny, didn't really do much else...Lovely and quiet. No presents, we hadn't bought anything for each other thanks to one thing or another. OH has gone out for the next few hours, I'm just going to use the slicer to see if it'll do meat , I bought it last year, will see if it manages the beef...Am getting hungry now, so a beef sandwich will do the trick. Full roast again tonight because I made sure I cooked enough so I wouldn't have to do any cooking for at least three days :)

Sorry to the ones that had to have words or genrally were pee'd off yesterday...Let's hope there'll be some onwards and upwards for everyone :)
    Happy Boxing day

  • Taff- I use a slicer to slice both bread and meat, cut the meat thinner than bread, its surprising how mych cut meat you can get when you use a slicer. I sliced the remains of the turkey breast, we have enough meat to have cold tonight and for another supper on Sunday with roasties etc.

Just nipped to DD2's to deliver a parcel from DD!, had a cuppa and drove home. Quite misty.
  • Glad you got home safely Gers. I'm back home too, still in my coat, cat asleep on lap. It was my aunt's choice of television last night. Her house, so that was fine by me, except I didn't enjoy it! Tonight silence will be golden. I'm enjoying it already :)

Hester have a hug, and anyone else in need. And chocolate or something stronger if that does the trick. I think I'll have a bath and a wee glass of Merlot (Christmas gift! Lovely). xxx

Nothing better than one's own home, though I do miss my DM's gas central heating. :rotfl:

I've got books galore to read and already had a glass of SB to keep my spirits up.
