Hi
I'd like to join in this month please. We have totally blown our food budget already due to being so stupid with money over Christmas, so i need to spend as little as possible until i get paid on 25th January. On the plus side i have a lot of stuff in the freezer and have quite a bit in the cupboards. I'm going to do an inventory tomorrow when hubbie is at work, to see how far i can stretch what we have.
I have left over party food and alcohol from Christmas to cover everything we need for New Years tomorrow, and then we are planning on going 'dry' for January so that should keep costs down a lot.
On a positive note, we have £45 on a Sainsbury's gift card that i can also use for food, so i'm hoping to spend no more than £100 cash for the rest of this month for a family of 4. Does this sound doable?Total Debt November 2018: £23, 7950 -
Hi all. Like others I need to get back on track.
Would you pop me in for 350 please. More than I was aiming for last year but I need to be realistic then start to shave it down.0 -
Been to Tesco for fruit and salad bits. Back to work tomorrow and back to pack up. Bought a litre of absolut as well so that’s me restocked.
Determined to do this and manage on the little left.0 -
Hi all!
I dropped out somewhere in the middle of the year and it's time to get back on track. I'd like to join again please with a budget of £120 for January. I've got plenty in the freezer and store cupboard so it's just a question of planning (as always!). Wish me luck. 😁0 -
Please can you put me down for £250 for January. This is to cover groceries and housekeeping for myself and husband. I definitely need to become focussed in 2019 as our income will be reduced by £200 a month from February.
Many thanks to those running the thread for us.

Hello, I've just discovered this thread via the "Save £12k in 2019" one. I've spent £350 on groceries in December (and I wasn't even entertaining!) which is ridiculous for a single person. I've got a well stocked freezer though.
Could you please put me down for £120 p.m. Thank you.Save £12k in 2022 thread #7:

Final total for (half) year: -£4,0000 -
Just did another mini shop in T....
Spent £4.43, but they were all things on my Big Shop shopping list anyway. I've two days off now & fancied eating some nice meals rather than freezer/copboard odds & sods.
I'm not doing the big shop for a week or two as I'll be at work a fair but so won't be in to eat it.
Jan total now £7.71/£50.000
