The zombie thing made me laugh...its the sort of thing my GS's would do.

Whilst talking about stocking up on things...how many of you are actually stocking up in case of Brexit mayhem? I have read a lot about people panic buying and stocking up. Do you think it is really necessary?

I think we're all hoping it's not going to be necessary but the global movement of food is so finely tuned to be 'just in time' that if we end up leaving with no deal it looks like there will be some disruptions. It's hard to tell how much isn't it? The politicians on all sides are too involved with fighting for power to give us any useful info. I reckon a few spares of long life stuff you use anyway is a sensible precaution if you've got the spare cash and at least it won't get wasted if everything goes smoothly.
  • £102.50/£200 my grocery budget has gone quite well becausw my 'dining out' budget has taken a big hit due to an unexpected 5 days away ( family emergency). Hoping to go home to tomorrow. Will use up.all the perishable when I get home and try and make lots of budget meals. Also want to stock up on some long life stuff as mentioned by others in case we face some shortages for a while. Beans, lentils, pasta, tin tomatoes and the like. All cheap.stuff shouldn't be an issue.

My thoughts exactly. If it's stuff that I'm going to use anyway, there's no harm in having some extra put away just in case.....
  • Onions 90p making total of
    £72.32/£100

I am going to the gym a lot so have not been able to smoke nearly as much. Woohoo.
I don’t think I need to go to the shops until next Tuesday except to buy milk.

£10.75 on beer which I am not including.

Really enjoying this. I am not random buying at all. Thanks.

Expensive (for me) shop this week at £48 though only about £5 of it was on food. My favourite soap powder was on SO, I should now have enough to last me most of the year and I needed boring things like dishwasher tablets and loo roll too. Should only need one more shop this month so should still come in on budget.
