Black Friday AffordableMobiles
Hello all,
Hoping for some guidance on this issue! On the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend I was looking for new mobile phone deals and came across the Iphone 8 being offered on affordablemobiles.com for around £28 p/month after cashback. I decided to go for this and signed up, giving my credit card details.
After 2 weeks of no communication (and no phone arriving) I contacted affordablemobiles.com, who told me that due to over-demand Vodafone (the network operator) had cancelled all these orders as they couldn't go through with the deal (which included 80gb of monthly data, unlimited calls/texts etc.)
Does anyone know what rights I have, if any, in regard to this matter? I believe I've paid for a service and therefore should receive the handset and the deal? All help appreciated!
Many thanks and Happy Christmas x

Absolutely none I think, just ask them to remove your details and payments cards under GPDR.0

What confirmation of the contract have you received? If none, then I'm afraid IMHO you have no rights, as there was no contract.0

Thank you for the replies! No confirmation of contract but terms were sent through from Vodafone and A1 Comms (which owns Affordable mobiles) carried out a credit check on the day
Would they not be liable to do something about this?0 -
I'm sorry, but I'm certain any adverts and the terms themselves will state subject to acceptance, it's a basic concept in contract law that both parties must accept the contract.0
