Where did he say he wanted a small car? Or was expecting low running costs?
A Phaeton is huge and is based on Bentley running gear. Also they're not that cheap to buy.

I would think of a Luxobarge as being something large in both physical dimensions and engine, neither is going to be particularly easy to park or cheap to run, the obvious value comes in the lack of depreciation.0 -

Which a GS and E class are, just not quite as large as the phaeton.
Anyway, I dont really fancy driving a car that looks like a Passat "thats has been photocopied at 150%". Not that the GS is a looker, but at least its original.0 -
