One experiment you could try would be to disconnect the device from the internet, then observe how that changes the currently-working channels.

Have you checked for firmware updates from http://av.jpn.support.panasonic.com/support/global/cs/

Other suggestion is to use a forum dedicated to this sort of thing - eg

Had already checked the firmware update, but nothing new to download.

Will have a look at the forums you suggested, and after Christmas see whether they can add anything more.

Just an update.

Channels now working OK!

We had tried connecting Panasonic device to son's ariel, which made no difference. A couple of evenings ago my husband decided to try yet another update, and unbelievably the missing channel icons reappeared and we can now access previous week's viewing for all channels.

We receive our broadcasts from Winter Hill, whether that is something to do with previous problems we haven't a clue.

Just hoping that the recorder continues to work as it should.
