first you using the wrong lead VGA extension put need a VGA male to VGA male
second , set the tv to 1680x1050 and refresh a 60hz in windows ,thats control panel,then personalization,and then disply settings ,to change the Hertz click advaned settings and then monitor (this is if you are using vista)there or their,one day i might us the right one ,until then tuff0
