If you are going to get in to 'trading' then you really need to understand the basics of the markets first before you even get in to individual shares.

If you look at the traded volume for the stock you can see that it seems to vary between 1m shares and 75m shares traded daily. Currently you are at the lower end (around 5m shares).

If you need/want to get out of this stock then just take the price on offer and accept that there is a reason for it. You also need to be aware that there is a possibility that just because you own a share and a sell price is displayed that you will actually be able to sell. I have experienced a more extreme situation (due to volatility in the market) where I could not obtain an online price to sell and had to go via the trading desk in order for them to get me a price.

    That is why forums exist.

It's not that I decided to get into trading.

Got the shares through a work scheme, win win situation.
Just only previously dabbled in popular shares.
That said, volumes in this share do get high, just probably not over the Christmas Period.
  • the technique you've suggested yourself, of selling a chunk of as many shares as you can without getting a lower price, and then waiting for a few days before doing it again, is sensible. you could also see what happens if you try selling another chunk immediately after the first; the price might not deteriorate (OTOH, it might).

for your purposes, i don't think you need to do anything fancier than that.
