    Afternoon all, I'm back !
Had an hour in bed this morning then toddled off to DD's to put the dolls house together. It's huge and took Mr Fix It nearly 3 hrs to do and he has and engineering degree . I did my bit and held the screws, screwdrivers, checked the plans etc. ( That's probably why it took so long :rotfl: ). DD kept the coffee and chocolates coming and got us all pie and chips from the chippy :j. ( The diet's certainly gone for a burton now :o. ) DD couldn't possibly have done it by herself ( she didn't have to go to work today as her school finished yesterday, much to the disgust of SiL and the DGC, who have gone to school :D ) and SiL probably wouldn't have tried :(.
Anyway there's no tea to cook tonight so we'll just have a snack. Then I think it's an early night for both of us, although Mr Fix It is already checking the inside of his eyelids :rotfl:.
Bozwood good news about your DD.
OL and Dumpling I hope your children can get sorted soon re the dentist.
_taff can you wash the slippers in the WM ? BTW when you go out you probably won't get noticed "sans bra", people are so busy rushing about trying to sort Xmas. They may think you have burnt it anyway like liberated women did in the 60's :rotfl:.
ScarletR and Rosyred my DGD loves the card making stuff too, especially the glitter
Mehefin you are soooooo naughty :naughty::D
RedRuby I'm glad all was calm last night, the neighbour probably didn't want another altercation with a woman on the edge :rotfl:
Speky enjoy your time back at home with your friends and family.
Take care all and hugs to anyone in need.
    nan xx

Am in Glasgow! I decided there wasn't any point hanging about at home so drove down. The road was clear and free-running until Loch Lomond. From there on the traffic was horrible. I'm not used to this any more.

I did a little shopping on the way, including a cheeky bottle of wine. Tomorrow morning I'll go out first things for DM's list. We're out to friends on Christmas Day so that's covered. In all my dithering and faffing this morning I forgot to get the venison out of the freezer, only remembered as I sat in the traffic queue at Balloch.

After doing a few wee chores here I'm now going to read for a while.
  • Not a very good day today. Was in the local big town getting the last of the Christmas shopping. Returned to the car and I got a parking ticket as my pay and display ticket had blown upside down when I’d closed the car door! Not very happy don’t know if I can appeal it!

If you send them a copy of your ticket, they might let you off x:D

  • Oh that's unfortunate cliffsgirl, but worth sending an explanation with a copy of the ticket.

I got my deliveries done, and stopped at a local beauty spot and was greeted by 10 swans aswimming and 2 cygnets. Beautiful. It meant I missed the swimming pool but I didn't mind as it was so calming and tranquil watching them.

That's good news Boz that there wasn't a break.

A quiet evening here. I've some cards to write for my immediate neighbours and a double veg box delivery to put away.

I hope the sandman works his magic for everyone needing good shuteye tonight. xxx

Busy day and busy evening. The men have now broken up from work. My role as a housewife has changed from cleaning house to keeping it running smoothly/damage limitation.:rotfl:

I doubt I'll be posting much till the new year. Thinking of my dear friends with health worries, those of us with family issues and troubles. I hope the season is kind to you.

I will be back posting soon.

    Sleep well all.

Make some time for yourself as well hun :A xx
