    Morning all

First day off and I was awake at five this morning ! oh well plenty more days to be resting.

The neighbour was blissfully quiet last night :) there were a couple of bangs when I came in but nothing for the rest of the night, I am expecting it all day today though but I would rather it was in the day than at night ! I also must have looked such a state I was raging when I went round there in my grey soft fluffy dressing gown and slippers :rotfl:he was probably terrified !!

Oh and I will go and do the shopping today and get that out of the way, its handy he is off to lug the bags for me :D I have a couple of cards to deliver and about four presents to wrap so I shall get them done later.

Not Sure about dinner tonight will buy something while we are out, I popped into Marks yesterday after the party and got 4 great big fat pork chops reduced to £2 we had two last night which were very tasty and I have put the others in the freezer.

Right better get on have good days all xx

Morning all from a very windy Mehefinland
Woken at 4 by the wind tearing through the big pine. Its snowing pine needles everywhere at the moment. Don't know what sort of pine it is but we rudely call it pinus erectus due to the shape of the new growth cones, ( will leave that thought with you ).
Mares whizzing around the field too in the wind so they will be happy to come into the stables later.
DS had his works do at a posh hotel all paid for including overnight stay!! Its the one ethe Welsh rugby team use as their base soo will be interesting to hear what he thought of it. Glad I wasn't paying!
Downside is work today and Xmas Eve .

Hugs and spoons to those in need , and a wish for quiet untroubled Christmas to you all.

    Morning all,
Gloomy and wet here, not been out dogwalking yet. I had a night out at the pub last night, very unusual but our friends from Spain arrived to stay with family over Crimbo, she texted me and asked if I wanted to go to join the men on their usual Thursday quiz night. Lovely to see them and it made a nice change.I sat next to a lovely 88 yr old man, fantastic for his age, apparently he likes a chat with the ladies as his wife died 5 years ago.Everyone was coming up to wish him a Merry Christmas, he's very well liked.
All the prep is nearly done, just need to try and keep the house tidyish now, although with DGD here all weekend thats probably not going to happen.Scarlet Ribbons, she also likes my cardmaking boxes  I admit to hiding some things :rotfl:
Right better try and drag DDog through the door.Have a nice day xx

Thanks for the thread Nelski, hugs to all those in need.
    Thanks for the song Tru
Off to the surgery to collect CHS's prescription and then to the pharmacy to get it filled, it tskes between 2 & 4 hours every time I do this, no-one can ever find either the paperwork or the items it drives me up the wall every bloody time, and breathe!

Next doors boat is being blown to bits, all the carp on the roof is getting blown off on to our boat, his cratch cover is torn (has been for best part of a year) so it's flapping about and all the stuff in the bow is getting wet. I'm blessed if I'm standing out there on the gunwhales sorting out though I would if there was a jetty between us.

    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.
  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

A bad night, drinking tea at 2am and OH complained he did not get to sleep before 4am so he is still in bed. I am not getting him up, he can just stay there.

DD1 and GGS expected this morning, have moved stuff to the bedrooms, doors shut, put the arm up on the settee so he does not sit on it. Have been considering putting a cover on it. I did have it scotchguarded when I bought it, have had to clean a couple of marks off.

Computer did an update and wiped out my sign in details for the bank blasted thing, then when I went onto the programme I use to forecast our cash flow it had messed that up too......aarrgghhhhh.

DD2's visit went well yesterday, she brought us a carrier of goodies including a tin of our favourite ginger biscuits from Ikea. Indiviual iced cake and christmas pudding. I have 2 puddings in the cupboard I have had for ages, a bit dubious about using them to be truthful, might undo one on Sunday and see what its like and if its ok save a couple of portions for Christmas day.

Fine morning, very dark and grey, have lights on in the kitchen and sitting room, however its the shortest day so the nights will very gradually get lighter......hooray, spring is coming.......

Not seen the news about Gatwick yet this morning, however its royally messed up thousands of peoples Christmas. 5 years in prison is not enough for who ever is doing this. I have my views on punishment not normally extreme but in this case it is.

No plans for anything really. Monday I would normally change the bed, but as I like a clean house for new year will leave it till new years eve
and change it then, ok no ideal but it will have to do. The next few days will be chilling out until after the start of next year. I am hoping this New Year will not be a repeat of the last one.

Supper tonight fish and chips. My freezer and cupboards are full so no worries about food.
  • Morning all, wet and blowy here, not particularly inspiring - the past few days have been rather nice in the morning though miserable as the days drew to an end. Shortest day and I'm looking forward to the spring, my favourite tine of year,.

I slept well but not for long, I would have gone back to bed but am waiting for a parcel to be delivered for DS and I seem to spend a lot of time on the naughty step with him so I must remain on alert for that. OH is out, he will be back in a few minutes but in and out most of the day

    Parcel just arrived.

OH had put an alarm thingy on his computer to remind him about when to leave, the most annoying noise and he forgot to turn it off, I don't want to touch it so must ask him to show me what to do, I rarely use his laptop.

Today I,will do a minor Friday Tidy, most of it done a couple of days ago. I've washing to put on the rack and more to do as those towels have been doing sexy things and have had babies as far as I can see, can't account for the huge pile of towels to wash otherwise. Then I have presents to wrap, otherwise not too much to do, I've done quite a bit of socialising so am going to enjoy not doing anything much today.

One of my friends has sent me a lot of beautiful scented narcissi, I am enjoying them very much.

Thinking of those of us who are sad worried or unwell.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

    Morning all!
Wood arrived and is being stacked by OH. Fire is on in anticipation of nurse visit, I don't want to be half naked in a cold room later on....OH has shopping and a meeting later on, I might have ashower. I have discovered that my lovely lippers really smell [tmi??] which is weird because my feet don't usually smell but i did get them wet out the back a few times.
New slippers a go go then...
Need to buy some kind of sports bra thing. Have already bought one online but it's too big so that has to go back. Am going to feel very self conscious going shopping sans bra and one boob but I have to get it over with....
Hugs and stuff to them that needs, christmas tree pokers to thems that don't :)

Hope the weekend harbinger is good for you and if not, have a word with it...
