Your energy for all these things amazes me!
I'm surprised at how much extra time there is now little one is at school.... I've never had all of them at school before; I've had a baby and/or preschooler ever since my eldest started school 10 years ago. I'm so used to constant distractions, I'm enjoying being able to be more efficient! :rotfl:
Once I start working a third week day in November, I'll have less time, so I'm trying to get as much of my 'to do' list done in the meantimeDFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)

Painting finished! Looks great, so I'm really pleased. Curtains just arrived, so I've ironed them and hung them. Did click and collect for lightshade, so popping out to get that in a bit
Rest of the day will be catching up on the chores I haven't been doing while painting; washing, ironing, hoovering etc. I like to get it all done by the end of Friday as then I work for the next 4 days
Child 4 had a friend over for tea last night, Child 2 has one over tonight, Child 3 has a friend over for a sleepover tomorrow night. Not great planning on my part :rotfl:DFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)

Credit card statement came, £3100
Considering I'm trying to reduce it down to £800 a month (food and fuel), that's not great
However, £300 was back to school spends, £300 was school trips and £1100 was our holiday. So our 'usual' spends were £1400 which is much better than previous months.
This month highlights our need to save monthly for these big amounts that come up once a year. I have categories set up on YNAB for them. Firstly, I need to get ahead of the credit card so that I can allocate money to these categories!!
September's surplus money will all go to this card bill.... if we can get to October pay without going overdrawn and a credit card bill of £1500, I'll be very pleased. That's the missionDFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)

NSD not achieved as I bought some stocking fillers, 75p chocolate oranges from Mr T! £3.75 for 5.... I'm going to pick up little things like that as I go, but will keep a list so I don't overspend. I find L!dl very good for xmas goodiesDFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)

Pay day tomorrow, can't wait to make some payments and replenish our funds after a very expensive month! Managed not to go overdrawn which is good, but the credit card (as mentioned above) is shocking, so not a great one!
Historically, October and November tend to be relatively low spend months, so hopefully can recuperate a bit!DFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)

I love the payday anticipation these days - used to be "what can I buy myself". These days it's more "can't wait to update my spreadsheet" haha!
Fingers crossed you'll make headway with the credit card this month!3
