That means you can start looking for replacements in December.  Some allow application 6 months prior to the day you need it  , and some only 3.  Fixes will have a premium for a bit while the uncertainty factors through, yet the overall trend is up so variable is unappealing as well!!  Good luck!!

With breaking news Jeremy Hunt as chancellor things may be a bit less wild by 2024.  I don't like him and I'm not a Tory, but I do give him credit for being a safer pair of hands than the alternatives

Glad you have longer anyway. Definitely worth a targeted savings plan now - of how much extra you think you might need by then. That way you have a cushion if the worst happens - and you are already used to paying more.

Ever heard of exercise cygnus which occured in 2016 to prepare for a pandemic. I suggest you google it and remember who was
minister of health at the time.
  • Well, that's been an interesting few weeks! LT was a bit of a shambles and we'll see how RS does.  He seems smarter than the former.
Half term has been keeping me busy.
We've defaulted to being a bit spendy and will need to rein it in.  Nothing too drastic, just a bit of 'f@~k it', will take a month or two to mop up.

    Love your honesty.

Given none of us have cost the country billions maybe 🤔 our overspending isn't so bad. I've had a similar week for different reasons.

  • Thanks SH, it's a safe space to say 'oops' I guess!  It's mainly been on house stuff and the children, which are our weak spots for spending :D
This week has been half term where we are, haven't done too badly considering as could see our accounts drifting a bit.  Kids won't have noticed the difference, we've still done nice things :)

Improving is good. I do think it is a season for putting away a decent EF though. How are your savings goals going?
