That'll be the same " American company " without whom you wouldn't find a buyer anyway????? So...use their facilities then do iffy deals and lie when you end the auction early....
As for the " Did they not pay a listing fee "...yup! That's to list it...they also agreed CONTRACTUALLY to pay the relevant fees when they find a buyer........not try and do iffy deals for cash and pull the listing......
However, some people will do anything to try and justify their own moral ( or lack of ) standards.....but Hey, if someone is happy to go through the rigmarole of pretend self-justification for the sake of a few quid...they'll no doubt find a few similar characters to back them up. The fun bit will be when both sets of people one day do business with each other...then come bleating here about being conned.......:rotfl::rotfl:
Thank goodness the great majority of people on eBay are still honest.........if i had known then what i know now0 -
Another way of looking at it would be to consider some of the other threads we get on here moaning about the lack of honesty generally in ebay users. On one hand people seem angry that some users are dodgy and want to break the rules and scam them..on the other hand some people advocate breaking the rules to cheat ebay. Where do we draw the line, exactly who decides who gets cheated and who does not. My policy has always been that if someone is happy to cheat ebay that automatically makes them dodgy enough to possibly cheat me as well.
Maybe I am over cautious I certainly don't take any risks with my money and yes I've probably lost a few genuine bargains due to be overly suspicious. However I would prefer to be in my position than to be moaning that I have had my account suspended due to breaches, or even worse been scammed by another user who has been less than honest in his dealings with me and/or ebay.
If breaking rules is considered OK and a bit of a laugh to get back to ebay then we need to give up any pretence of trusting anyone any more on ebay.
Lastly ebay is for selling not advertising. They do have another site called Gumtree (I only found out recently on here that ebay and Gumtree are connected!!) so if you wish to place an advert for offers then Gumtree can be used instead. That solves any problems.

I guess on that basis that does make me better than you........by a loooooong way....still as long as you're happy with your lack of morals and use of the English language ...Good Luck to you....:T:T;);):p:p
Yeah, I'm soooo immoral!!!:rotfl:0 -
Just one other point - disregarding the moral issue.
Make sure the cash you are given is GENUINE and not a forgery. #E.g the story I've heard about recently. 4 guys in a car go to a carboot and buy loads of stuff, using £20 notes (forged). Result - they have genuine change, and a few items to sell on if they want.0
