  • Lots of places have half price or less lights now, don't gamble with your family/house/lives....spend a fiver and buy some you like.

    If they are just ordinary little blue LEDs, then they aren't going to overheat and burn your house down if you put a bit of tape on them.


    Some people like to make a song and dance about nothing.
    If it sticks, force it.
    If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

    Thanks, yeah. ☺️ The reason why it's important to me is because I'm ill and my Christmas lights cheer me up, but I've also got retinopathy in my eyes so the bright blue is too much for me. The paint might tone them down.

    I bought a prelit tree last year and the lights were extremely dazzling and only white. set of glass pens off amazon...painted most of the bulbs in various colours. all looks great, doesnt get hot, still look great this year. go for it !

    Throw out the LED lights and get some good old fashioned filament lights. They look far less severe.
    For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.
