No price increase guaranteed during the minimum term on the face of it seems to be a good thing, and price increases obviously a bad thing, but , if you start a minimum term with no price increases , and you are disappointed with the provider although they are hitting minimum standards , you have no choice but to remain or pay ETC to leave....price increases offer the consumer a get out if jail free card, disappointed with a provider or see a better deal from someone else , and your current provider has just put the price up, great opportunity to leave penalty free...as far as OP is concerned , every time the price went up, they were notified , and the notification states their 'right' to leave penalty free if they reject the increase.

Like all ISPs, BT will have notified you of the post-discount price when you took out the contract.

It's rather passive aggressive don't you think?

Like halifax sending you a text message a couple of weeks before a DD goes out to say you're close to going into your overdraft, but then only sending you a further notification to tell you that they have charged interest.
