Failed delivery yodel

This might be the wrong thread but couldn't find anywhere else!!
Yodel apparently delivered my package to a neighbour. The neighbour says that haven't received it. Would yodel contact the neighbour in question.
The parcel needed to be signed for.
Just want to see if it will be followed up and neighbour contacted. They have written down the door number or the neighbour and it has been signed.

I don't think Yodel will contact the neighbour, they don't have a contract with them. If they have a signature from your neighbour's address, get them to show it to you. If it is your neighbour's signature then your neighbour is lying to you. If it's not, Yodel have made a mistake or have fabricated delivery.0

Regardless, your contract is with the seller so you shouldn't be needing to contact Yodel at all. If the seller is giving you the runaround then simply raise a S75/chargeback claim with your card provider.0

That's what I thought. I was wondering if they would knock on the door with evidence of signature or send a letter. Yodel are currently investigating but if it's a scribble and the neighbour says no then I don't know what will happen after. They have given me a refund and have out it down as undelivered.0

Does anybody know the invest igation process of yodel courier service?
Thanks0 -
If it was made on a hand-held PDA device then the signature is almost certainly a scribble.0

It's the sender that needs to get Yodel to investigate - they don't have to answer to anyone else.
I'd let them do this, but where there's a 'proof of delivery' things tend to be more difficult in terms of refund / replacement. The retailer may well just trot out the usual 'it's been delivered' line, in which case you'll need to seek a refund from the method of payment used, or use Small Claims to reclaim the money.0 -
Thank you for your response. I have been given my refund it's just to see what yodel do with this information. On the tracking site of the parcel it says incomplete which I guess means they are investigating. It also says that it's been delivered to neighbour and it's been taken back to depot. I'm not sure they know what has happened.i spoke to them today and they confirmed it had been sent back to the depot.0
