Unsure about credit file

I would like some advice/information regarding CCJ.
Phone provider debt which I defaulted on, default date on credit file is: 28/09/2016.
The debt was sold on to Lowell at some point, I never made any contact with either parties since
the default date.
Checking my credit file this week I noticed Lowell, had obtained a CCJ which is now marked on my file as active with the judgement date 11/12/2018
Question is with the default being 28/09/2016, does the 6 years start from 2016 and will the CCJ come off at the same time?
Or would I have a additional/separate 6 years for the CCJ to come off?

The CCJ and phone account are 2 separate records. One an account, the other a judgement on the public records. They relate to the same debt, but are otherwise separate things.
The defaulted phone account will still drop off 6 years from the default date, so 2016 + 6 = 2022.
The CCJ record will stay for 6 years from the judgment date. So 2018 + 6 = 2024.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Unless the CCJ is paid within 30 days of judgement in which case it will be removed from your files.1

Thank. I missed that it was so recent!
Strictly the letter of the law says one month, not 30 days, which can be important if you are close to the line.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Great thank you, that clears things up for me.
Is there a time limit companies get, before they can apply for a CCJ or is it because the debt
is sold on it becomes a new debt therefore this can be applied?0 -
Once it's defaulted, if the borrower shows no intention of paying, they have until 6 years from last acknowledgment.1

Thank you for clearing that up.0

Could I get some information relating to DCA’s applying for attachment of earnings?
I have two CCJ’s filed date 2015 & 2018 also have serval accounts defaulted between 2016/2017, no contact made with any of the DCA’s on file, when are they likely to apply for attachment of earnings or is this likely to happen at all, I do have an outstanding mortgage which I know they can apply for a charging order or restriction?

Any time within 6 years of the CCJ.
Or if they are making other efforts to collect the debt, any time indefinitely.
If you make efforts to repay it, you can help avert such action.1 -
