Be careful when buying Huawei mobile phone from eBay or any other 2nd seller.
Even if mobile phone is under warranty by checking the serial number on their website:
https://consumer.huawei.com/uk/support/warranty-query/
Still Huawei will need the copy of the purchase invoice which can be difficult to get if puchased from eBay or any other 2nd sell shops.
I am stuck with 6 month faulty phone P20 Pro as Huawei will not repair it without the inovice.

To be fair, I think a lot of manufacturers ask for proof of purchase for warranty claims. I've had same from both Apple & LG in the past0

You were asked for proof of purchase by Apple?
what was the device and how old was it? Was it a device sold in a different region of the world to the one you were trying to get warranty service?====0 -
If you look at the terms of a warranty, they often say that the warranty only applies if you bought from "authorised" shops. So I guess a lot of products sold on eBay have a voided warranty.0

If you got it from Ebay through Paypal you can normally print off an invoice. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

I have used iphones for many years. Never asked for invoice. You can check the warranty online using the serial number.
You may have purchased the Apple proudct from doggy places otherwise you can check the serial number online for valid warranty without invoice.0 -

That is the standard method with Apple. Even their internal systems use the serial number to check for warranty status, the only exception I can think of would be a product not from the region (for example, an iPhone bought in the USA that is a different model from that usually sold in the UK).====0 -

Is your iphone from the UK or copy from China?0 -

Why are you arguing with me when you are saying exactly the same thing I am?====0 -
