GOV.UK website is saying regarding the carers allowance:
Your eligibility
You must earn no more than £120 a week after tax and expenses. Expenses can include:
· 50% of your pension contributions
· some of the costs of caring for your children or the disabled person while you’re at work
Does anyone knows what cost are covered an up to what(if any) limit?
Are the nursery fees that we pay our own money for covered?
Separately.
To get a 30 hours free chilcare the criteria is:
Each parent earning at least the National Minimum Wage or Living Wage for 16 hours a week - this is £125.28 if you’re over
So technically if one of the parents earns £125.28 pw and the eligible expenses come to more than £5.28 per week both carer allowance and 30 hours free childcare can be claimed?

According to https://www.litrg.org.uk/latest-news/news/170410-carer%E2%80%99s-allowance-%E2%80%93-can-deductible-employment-expenses-help-you-qualify
You can also take off up to half of your earnings (after the above deductions if they apply) for amounts you pay to someone to look after either a child under 16 who you or your partner get child benefit for, or the person you are the carer for, when you are at work (so long as you pay someone other than a close relative).
Note you can only claim for the expense to cover costs when you are at work. So if the free childcare covers that period then you would not be able to claim for costs for periods outside that period.0
