Morning all
Thanks for the thread nmlc and hugs to all those in need. Oh Nelski, how unfair, Tru, thanks for the carol
Yesterday we went to Ikea, Dunelm and Sainburys, my favourite type of hell, I warned CHS about Ikea but he didn't listen and then threw a tantrum when I couldn't find the way out!
He decided that he needed to choose the sofa bed and the bar stools for the boat we haven't chosen yet!
Today we are going on a coal hunt, we are down to our last bucket full, one day's worth and 2 suppliers have let me down, I'm getting a bit overwhelmed at times, trying to organise medication and appointments for CHS, dealing with the surgery who will only prescribe I pk of Betahistine, 84 tablets, when he needs 180 a month and then reprimanding me for not ordering enough! I'm also dealing with selling the house and all the paperwork that entails, finding a coal supplier, serving notice on my tenant and all the things that need sorting in life generally.
And breathe.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -
OL, what a nuisance about the carpet. Poor pup, I hope she gets better soon.
My appointment was moved to January, it's only routine, they used to stop offering the test at 65 so I thought I'd finished once, now they offer them up to 70.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one, especially Hester.......life is complicated for you at times.
I have yet another UTI, I started drinking bicarb in water yesterday, have just phoned the Drs and ask for the GP to ring me to get a script, I do not have time just now to go and sit in the surgery long with all the coughing and sneezing especially as I cannot have the flu jab.
I dread to mention the word, but the b****t thing looks like it is going belly up.......wonder if we will be going back to WW2 rationing???? That should be fun .. not!! I can just remember the very end of the war, things were on ration for ages afterwards. I can see huge trolleys coming out of supermarkets.......Fine if you have the room and the cash....not so good if you have not.
Smoked haddock and bread and butter tonight, no poached egg I used the last 2 yesterday. OH informs me he used the last of the ice cream, well sorry I do not have room for any in the freezer, so you will have to make do with fruit and cream.0 -

Morning. I'm doing OK, however, the district nurse and BCN are fighting about drain removal. They can argue for a bit and then I'll tell them what I want to happen, which is no removal yet. Been reading about seromas and I don't want one thank you very much.
House is a bit like a tidy tip, but there are lights in the window, my eyelashes are growing back and the cubaords are stocked in case of post brexit zombie outbreak.....
Have a friend visiting today, OH is still home, dressings have been changed and I have a lovely neat scar, which I'm very hapy about. Life is good
Nelski, that's just rubbish, but I do seem to see that the ones who make an effort for their parents and do the most are the ones that apreciated the least. Hester, if you aren't totally au fait with the house the selling and the tenant, the house selling board is really helpful. Maybe a post there would help? Sorry you've got loads of stuff on your plate too. Good luck to mr snoozer...Tru, still apreciating carols even if I don't say so regularlyand moral suport for candygirl and OL. Hope you're doing better Poppy and the antis are working...
Hope everyone is ok as possible, happy middle of the weekNon me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Just popping back to send sympathy to Nelski, I've been the dutiful near at hand responsible one and seen preferential treatment of a more distant (in every way) sibling. All I can say is that you'll always know you've done your best regardless and that is worth a lot.
taff, relieved to read your OH is with you. It's good your scar is looking okay. You're best to keep the drain until you're confident you don't need it. Being confident about the healing process is a large factor in making good progress.
Csarina, so sorry you're in the grip of another UTI. I hope you get a script asap.
Dishes are done. The reason that last night's meal was a big deal is I'm early retired on health grounds, but not ill enough for benefits, not well enough for even part time work and have another year till state pension age. I do have a modest income but even so, a sirloin steak meal which might have been a monthly treat when working is now a Christmas treat. And as a less frequent treat it's all the more enjoyable!
Thinking of snoozer and her DH and hoping they do get to see the specialist they are hoping to see today.0 -
Hi every one late posting. I have been to fat club this morning lost 2 so that’s good I went to work as the kids had Christmas dinner day so that was good very busy. We cleared up and had our dinner after and it was quite as the whole school had gone to church for carols Very full now I only need a snack for tea. We have an appointment for dd at the fracture clinic tomorrow so that’s good. I need to pick her up before school finish as we have to get there so I can’t do after school club as I will not be back in time0

SpekySquarehead wrote: »Yesterday wasn't too different from my usual now. Work > gym > dinner > xbox > bed for 10. The xbox is a godsend to me. It can seen as quite childish given that I'm fast approaching 30 and yet I spent time killing zombies or playing fifa, but it's more than the game, it gives me a chance to speak to a few of my mates from back home. I suspect relaxing with the xbox is something which I'll continue to do for the rest of my days. Millennials eh?
Mr Wolf is currently running "Conflict: Desert Storm" on PS2 as well as "Dragon Age: Origins" on pc; and I'm flitting between "Mass Effect" (the original game) and "Skyrim" on pc. We don't do MMORPGs or anything like that though; we prefer to keep to just us.
But then, we first met at tabletop Dungeons & Dragons, so it must be something inherent in us both.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
