This is the BEST way to get an amazing phone contract (slightly unethical)

Warning: This tip is a bit morally wrong but it works.

I use 3 Mobile as my network.

They have a live chat feature which is 24/7 and amazing. Their customer service is great but can also be exploited.

If you don't use 3 already, pick the contract that works best for you. If you already use 3 network then great.

Next step is to go on their live chat support and ask them if they can lower you plan by one level. They'll tell you that you'll be paying less but will have a worse plan (either less data/minutes/texts).

Then go back on the chat and ask them the next day to make your plan lower again. It'll become cheaper again but you'll have even less data/minutes/calls.

Keep doing this until it's really low cost but probably also really basic.

Now this is the SECRET.

If you ever run out of calls, texts or data, simply go on the chat and write that you've ran out. They'll give you free data/calls/minutes to last you through the month. Keep doing this each time you're about to run out.

This means you have a cheap contract and in theory a low plan. However if you run out of anything, they'll give you free things to keep you happy (and you can do this every month).

My contract is £7 a month, unlimited texts, 8gb data, 600 minutes.

Will be happy to answer any questions.

Also, on top of this, you'll be part of Wuntu if you join 3 network. For those who don't know, Wuntu is an app only for 3 Mobile customers but they do a lot of discounts and freebies e.g. Eat dinner at a pizza restaurant for £5, heavily discounted alcohol etc etc.

This is pretty old news and has been discussed before (there’s a current thread at HUKD which is probably where the OP got the info).

I have 2 Three contracts, £10 for AYCE data with 200 minutes and £12 for AYCE data and 600 minutes.

All you have to do is go on Live Chat and ask for better value/more data/you don’t feel valued/you can’t afford the price plan etc (never ask for an upgrade or say you want to leave).

It runs in cycles on the live chat, sometimes they grant it sometimes they refuse.

You're far more likely to get away with this with offshore CS staff. They rely on the bonuses generated by surveys sent out after customer contact.

Most networks can track the freebies you have been given, IME they'll soon restrict them if they get out of hand.

When I worked for a network, the computer system would prevent us adding freebies to some customer's accounts.

So all I have to say is "If you do this for me, I'll give you a great, positive review? :rotfl::D ;)"

I don't think I could bother messing about like this to save a couple of quid a month....it simply isn't "amazing" and there's no secret to it.
If you just make one call and ask for your PAC they usually give you what you want straight away. For the last year I have had unlimited/unlimited/12gb for £10/ month on one of my Three contracts.
I previously had unlimited/unlimited/8gb for £9/month without trying on another contract without trying.🙄🙄

It’s been proven on HUKD that only live chat can give these priceplans, on the phone it’s always pushed to upgrades and retentions who never seem able to match the live chat plans. Remember, these are simply priceplan changes, no new commitment or minimum term.

This has been going on for over a year now, on and off.
