  • Wohoo!! Absolutely delighted, have finally payed off my Barclaycard credit card, its been sitting with about £6000 for the last 3 years costing me over £100 every month with interest, so took Martins advice to pay off debt rather than save, last month I cleared out my help to buy isa and my partners savings account and have been putting all that money towards the credit card and any additional money from surveys/receipt apps. Spoke to both car finance companies and loan company to see about extra payments etc and all said yes I can make extra payments whenever I want! Onwards with the mission to pay off as much as I can by December!!

  • Hi Folks,

    #7 checking in.

Haven't been here in a few weeks due to work commitments but I've been paying money to debts in the background and have even started doing a payment a day, which I read about on here.

Anyway, I have been making great progress in the background and following today's payment, I've managed to pay off 5,950 since 26 December.

I've also recently been informed of another bill I had forgotten about, which I'm throwing into this challenge, so I'm going to increase my target from 18,250 to 20,075.

I'll update my signature after this post, but would appreciate if you could update my total on your spreadsheets, Muppets :)

Congrats folks, I've taken a half hour today to read through some of the posts. We're all doing fantastically well :T
