#100 - Evening All! So my January total is £1371.05 paid off debts, includes standard repayments and additional ones from cashback sites claims, selling few bits on ebay and receipt app payouts! Can I up my target to £14000 please as I've worked out I'll pay off 12000 just with normal repayments!!0

Evening all, total newbie here too, I've literally just signed up to the forums to join this challenge, although I've been lurking in and out over the years when Google results bring me here!
I'm hoping to be credit card debt free by the end of June, and totally debt free by the end of the year if possible.
My starting amount is £2,494.43 credit card, plus £3,000 in family loans, so £5,494.43 in total.
Really wish I'd seen this series of threads before now, it would have been great motivation! I've managed to chip away at over £11,000 so far since 2013, finally knocked my "bad" debts on the head at the end of last year thanks to some inheritance money from my grandfather passing, which allowed me to pay off the remaining balance on my DMP and close it. A little bittersweet but it meant I started 2019 with only "good" credit (i.e. no defaults/arrears), but I'd like to wipe the slate clean and get a proper savings buffer to avoid getting sucked into the debt cycle again.
Sorry, didn't mean to spill my whole life story!0 -
MacMike1987 good luck race you to the finish line.:rotfl:Hoping this year I can get debt free last year I added to my debt with house alterations. We can do it:D I do 100 days challenge on here as well so I clear one credit card off at a time. They all help me stay motivated.:)
£90 off for me today, who loves 5 week months - getting paid weekly has its advantages.:D
