  • Sorry for my lack of check ins, this year has flown by!

By the end of this year I will have paid £3832.60 of my £4000 target. That's 95.8%. Although I'd have liked to make 100%, I'm so happy with this. I aim to pay off all of my debts in 2020, I have £9653.06 left to pay. It's the first time I have had less than £10k debt in years.

I'm very late to the party!

I remember looking in on this thread in January and snorting, there was no way I'd be able to pay everything off within a year. In fact some of my debt I wasn't even counting as debt.

But through the year I managed to reduce outgoings so the debt stopped growing and started shrinking, and then in August I got a new job.

Extra earnings and strict budgeting paid off a loan, leaving only a small amount of £825.

My plan is to pay it off on Christmas Eve (after I've finished 2019 spending). My spending credit cards are paid off in full every month, but I'm also planning to make payments towards them so I can start the New Year literally owing nothing.

    Paid £5,524.85/£6,349.85
