I slept better last night but I wish I hadn't bothered to get up ! Started marzipanning the cakes, did two with the help of Mr Fix It and then I decided to try Xmas cake juggling, (Dad's ) ... and lost . Xmas cake all over the kitchen floor . Bah humbug !!!! At least the birds will have a feast, but I haven't the time to make him another, so he can have half of ours :(.
This afternoon I shall make the royal icing ready to ice the last two cakes and I'll try not to mess that up too :rotfl:. There are also a few last minute presents to wrap and that's it for today. Goodness knows what else I can wreck .
Tea will be simple sausage and chips or mash, I think I'll leave it to Mr Fix It under the circumstances ;):D
I'll probably be late posting tomorrow as Mr Fix It has his oncology review in the morning. Please keep your fingers crossed that it is not bad news.
Hester I hope the house sale goes through.
Bozwood I hope the little one is OK.
Nelski Me ! Me ! Me ! please for a lodger :D. I'm only a little one and would fit in a wardrobe quite nicely. I'd be no bother honest, I'm just a bit accident prone :o :rotfl::rotfl:
Hugs to all the poorly ones and anyone struggling at present.
Thinking of Holly and Taff..... are you both ok ?

    Take care

Sorry I've been AWOL again. A few health blips for both of us, plus I had my lovely Staffie friend Cookie to stay, and she takes a lot of time as she's quite a needy lass (I think she had a miserable puppyhood, and then ended up in Battersea). Thankfully she has a lovely Forever Home now, and they are working on her insecurities. She's a sweetheart though; not a mean bone in her. :happyhear

TA (((HUGS))) I guess it'll be a poignant time for you hun.

I hope everyone is as well as they can be - I confess I haven't read back over the days I've missed, I'll be here til New Year if I do that!

your in ....we will have a wild time :D
  • Afternoon all. Just a quick return to wish Mr Fixit all the best for tomorrow. Fingers crossed. I will never forget the worry waiting for Bob's Oncology results and reviews. Hope things go as well as they can for you TAFF. Well done POPPY on outwitting the scammers. There are too many of them these days, they must have no conscience.

Lovely morning and then lunch with my friend. Mucho non-stop chatting as usual. We didn't bother with the Christmas dinner, we both had beer battered cod, chunky chips and mushy peas. It was delicious. I won't need much tea I don't think so a pot of celery soup is defrosting and I will have a cheese and ham toastie with it.

No jobs been done today but I am expecting another delivery tomorrow so a few little jobs might get addressed whilst I am waiting. Or they might not!

Enjoy the rest of the day folks if you can xx

    Afternoon all,

Congratulations Organza......had a little chuckle as it would be beyond thinking for me!

Hugs for Holly, taff and Polly and anyone else who could do with one.

Nice to see you LW, trust that the health glitches have been sorted for you both.

Hester.....hope that OH is recovering nicely, look after yourself too.

Boiling clementines for my cake which I promised to take to knitting group in the morning.

Not very cold today, had an "impression" taken this morning for my new partial denture,. won't be ready until after Christmas, so I will be keeping my mouth shut over the holiday, which 2ill be quite a novelty!

Might feed the cake with some more brandy and leave it until the weekend to ice.

Must rescue my clementines before the water boils off and I have to start from scratch.
