Is it genuinely worth using Swagbucks any more?

Admittedly I have been off it for about two years now. I used SB, YouGov, Prolific etc to cover a few meagre expenses when I was between jobs.

I've been back on Prolific and YouGov recently as I can use them while travelling for work on public transport but I always had issues with being kicked out of surveys after 20 minutes on SB because I didn't meet the criteria, despite the fact that they have already conveniently gathered all the data.

I get a phone upgrade next month so I'll have a perfectly good phone that could run videos at work.

I was always worried about how seedy the site is too. There were a lot of links on there that led to questionable content. And some of the sites were very clearly scams. It always felt like there was a risk of viruses or identity theft but if its cleaned up its act I might have another look at it.

It certainly has not cleared up it's act in terms some of the sites linked to.
For the same level of reward as some survey sites you can spend 10 times longer or more on swagbucks (without making any allowance for late screen-outs and non-payment that happens with swagbucks that I have never had with any other survey sites)
Potential earnings from the video apps has been slashed while the time they take due to the length/number of ads they run has been massively increased and that is when they do not freeze and need manual intervention to re-start. The number of videos for the same reward you need to watch on the main site has increased along with fewer to watch and short repeating nCraves and similar have virtually vanished

Rewards for watching videos and the number of them on the swagbutton have been slashed to almost nothing - was 10 videos = 3 SB now to get 3 SB it's about 90 videos and there are just enough or not quite enough to get 1 SB a day compared to 20-30 SB in the old days.

The daily goal bonuses that were usually 10% upwards very rarely now even reach 10% and can be as low as 5 to 6%.
The weekly iSpy has been moved to monthly so at least a 75% drop in what you can earn from that.
Search wins have been slashed both in value and the chances of getting them
The rewards for Swago have mostly been cut and the "spin to win" is rarely part of them now.

They have added a mobile quiz (swagbucks live) but they mostly take place at 1 am and a share of the jackpot can be less than 50 SB if the questions are easy.

Just remembered there seem to be fewer "code days" and the total available when they have them is less as well.

I think it's worth using but not for surveys. It's never going to be a big earner any more and I agree with mjm3346 they haven't cleaned up their act, lots of the offers are very suspect and earnings have been slashed. The member recognition doesn't really feel like recognition either :(

I still do a little each day but the majority of my time and effort is on other sites that pay better and screen out less.

Upgrades are rarely free as you'll pay for the cost of the next phone in the contract. If your phone still works perfectly fine you're betting off keeping it and going to sim-only. The money you'd save per month is a lot more than you'd make from running videos on that phone

Interestingly I completed a survey yesterday through Qmee. During the redirect back to my Qmee dashboard I noticed a Sw@gbucks completion url.

I wonder if they are now having to put their surveys through other platforms as people won't spend 30 minutes for only 25SBs

It does seem a bit shortsighted. Surely it's better for them to simply pay a reasonable amount through their own platform:o
