Holly, just to let you know I am thinking of you. It is such a worrying time for you, the fact you have to hand over so much of your life to the medics is really hard.

Dumpling such a difficult time for you all, please ask for help for yourself.

Delivered local cards today, made me realise the pneumonia has affected me, fell asleep when I got back.

Am at the docs later, for a review of my new anti anxiety meds, but also have swollen neck glands n a wheezy chest , so might need anti biotics :(
DUMPLING I'm so sorry about all that's going on for you hun :(Let's hope 2019 is a better year :A
Right better get this floor mopped, no doubt with naughty pup Zeus riding on the mop :rotfl:

    Shows how loved you are.

I'm considering going to the Carol service at the chapel where i went to Sunday school and got married on Sunday. I say considering.... i vowed i'd never set foot in a church again after i left the church i had been going to for many years.

A backslidden Christian i maybe but still appreciate the teachings of the bible and songs of praise.

    We will see.

I was exactly the same hun, then went on a course at this church, met some amazing people, n joined it.It's very modern, n progressive, with lively worship songs. The people aren't at all pious or typical "God botherers" , n the sense of community is amazing.Even better, there's a lovely coffee shop attached to it :rotfl:

  • Good afternoon from a chilly but bright Isle of Dogs :) at least it has stopped raining:T

bellabella, thanks for starting us off :T sorry about your mum :( but probably nice to see your family :)
camelot, very jealous but then again I have been very lazy :rotfl: & it would appear that the ‘Cleaning Fairy’ has deserted me :rotfl:
tru, I am still managing to sing along :T & to the correct tunes I believe :rotfl: Shows what a good job you have done with Scamp - all the love & care you have devoted to Scamp is paying dividends :T shame other family members are so ‘forgetful’
Gers, I hope you feel refreshed & I too love your Christmas ‘tree’ :D
nmlc, serendipity strikes again :D Hope the boiler service goes well. I had my boiler put in, in July several years ago - so I have my annual service in July each year :) one less thing to worry about in the colder months :D
dumpling, sorry to hear about Jemima but it sounds like a ‘calm, thoughtful decision’. Hopefully the rest of the family woes are ‘the storm Before the calm’ :)
TA, sorry it was only a flying visit from Mr Sandman :( I too dislike clothes shopping, well that is a bit of a fib - I dislike ANY type of shopping :rotfl:
Organza_Lace, reminds me I need to phone my bank & sort out a few transfers to nephews :T All 3 of us actually like XMas pudding :D but always eat too late & too much to have on Christmas Day :rotfl:
Nelski, belated Birthday Wishes :) but no cake as you will go bang :rotfl: You sound like you are really looking forward to your holiday :D Sounds like you Kondoed :T
redruby, we had cottage pie last night & as my DSis enjoyed it so much she is having the last portion tonight. My fridge is currently reasonably empty ready for all the fresh veg :)
csarina, enjoy the roast dinner :)
Speky, sounds like date night was very pleasant & at least you have another friend. Forgive me for saying so (& feel free to completely ignore me :) ) but I get the impression that you are not really looking for a girlfriend at the moment but would like to have friends who are girls. Hope you remember what you are having for dinner :rotfl:
ancientofdays, I like ginger nut biscuits & I like chocolate - but not together :D Seems like the Sandman has been a bit remiss in his duties :(
snoozer, I still send Christmas cards to a couple of ex colleagues who have advised that I wouldn’t know more than about 3 people on my old department - so no visits from me :)
WeeMidgie, Hope your appetite returns in time for Christmas :) Baby photos - how lovely.
JackieO, well brought up daughters :T & must be nice to have DGS Jack around :)
Bozwood, surely you should be using the hammock now :rotfl:
poppy, hope the antibiotics are kicking in & that you are feeling better
candygirl, what a lovely thing to happen & I agree with O_L it shows you are loved

This year I hand delivered Christmas cards to all my neighbours in the close - known & unknown :). Lovely surprises so far - chocolate filled mini donuts from one & hm Swedish buns (rather like Brioche) from another :T DH & DSis were rather disappointed when we ONLY got a card from one neighbour :rotfl:
Being extremely lazy whilst DH is laying new bathroom floor tiles :T Have been eating from freezer recently - lunch today was hm soup for me whilst DH & DSis had lo onion pasta.

Healing (((HUGS))) to all who need them BT especially Holly, poppy & -taff

Hello all, apologies for the late post.
I had another bad night and it didn't help that Mr Fix It was doing his best Darth Vader impersonation either :(. I tried to decamp to the new bed, but I could still hear him ..... and I was on the other side of the house . I think I had about 2hrs sleep all together, so methinks an earlyish night is on the cards.
We had a lovely time at DGS party yesterday and we were made very welcome, but as usual we didn't win a sausage in the raffle. There was enough food brought in to feed an army, but the children were like a swarm of locusts and left slim pickings for the adults :( ( however there were plenty of turkey and HM stuffing rolls left though :j. ) Santa arrived and brought every football team member a beanie hat and a hoody with their initials and the team logo on them. DGS also received a selection box which he gave straight to his sister !
This morning we went back to the chemist to collect the missing meds, then on into town where we split up to buy each other some Xmas pressies. I really had no idea what to buy, but anyway I managed to get a few bits and bobs for Mr Fix It to open on Christmas morning.
As if I haven't got enough to do, this afternoon we decided to recover the dining room chairs and it took us most of the afternoon  Guess who's brilliant idea that was ? ....... just follow my eyes :rotfl:.
Tea tonight was sweet and sour turkey with rice, followed by caramel ice cream.
Right I'll stop waffling now, probably bored you all silly anyway :p.

Sending hugs to all and I hope to be posting earlier tomorrow, fingers crossed.
    Take care of yourselves
    nan xx

Thanks for the thread Bella and hugs to those in need.
Had a busy day here, CHS has a dodgy ankle now on top of everything else and my coal delivery was cancelled.
Still the good news is I have received a full asking price offer on my house, fingers crossed it goes through.

    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.
