It’s actually not as she very well can’t afford a lot extra, especially when it is unnecessary!0

With EE it is, I'm afraid. Read the other threads about EE on here, blood and stone are the two words that ring true.0

When did you last use the web chat service?
Only ask because i have been on EE everyday for 6 days and there is no live chat for me. I think they may have stopped using that service.
They cancelled Facebook and Twitter account a while ago. Now they stopped chat. Clearly company is going down the drain. Now they will be sending debt collectors to innocent people.
After getting my money back through Ombudsman now I have received email from EE that I owe them over £400 apparently! I expect this thieving idiots will send debt recovery company to my door now as they did with many innocent people according to Trustpilot reviews. In case they do what should I do? I am so angry and stressed because of that!

What’s the best way to preventing Economy Energy from taking an increased direct debit payment when they don’t respond to emails or answer the phone?0

I was on a fixed term deal expired in October...i have been trying to get them to sort out a discrepancy on initial meter readings when I switched in september 2017.They took forever to respond to the relevant query regarding the original electric meter reading. This was supposed to have been "escalated" to a dispute and weekly readings were submitted a their request. These readings show an obvious mistake in the amount of cash they want and the consumption.According to their figures Im using nearly double the average UK household electricity despite the fact we are gas heating and cooking.I escalated this with a complaint which should be going to the ombudsman within the next week as it will have exceeded the deadline for a deadlock situation or none response. ATM I have had no response other than the automated reply.
I need to switch supplier as I have discovered their rates for Electricity are nearly DOUBLE the fixed rate I was on Ie 4.6319p per KWH.
They have me in debit on my gas and credit on my electric because their figures are not up to date. Will another supplier accept a switch when I am in dispute with these clowns?0 -

Ring your bank ... cancel the direct debit or cancel it online if you have online banking. I did this back in August. Still pay them but I pay direct to cover myself. i have major issues with them. They shouldnt be allowed to trade. They are an absolute joke flouting all sorts of regulations. Im one week away from Ombudsman letter. Good Luck!0 -

I also take a photo of the meter each time I take a reading !
Lucky you can take a photo of meter reading... i can with gas but not electric...digital grey readings in a dark cupboard just does not photo0 -
Sorry, but if you chose to be on a variable tariff, then you run the risk of the prices going up (which may or may not be in line with general price movements)
If you chose a fixed tariff, like MSE have been urging MSEers to do for months & months now, then if it's not competitive today, it must have been really uncompetitiive when you chose it.
electric charge went up EIGHTY EIGHT percent... Ill go to court to fight these charlatans. How in hell did the UK get in this mess where mickey mouse companies like this hold consumers to ransom for essential services.0 -

My electric meter is in a dark cupboard too, flash turned on on phone, takes a perfect photo.0
