  • I submitted my gas reading through their web chat and an invoice was raised soon after. So I've proof if its ever needed.

I also take a photo of the meter each time I take a reading !

When did you last use the web chat service?

Only ask because i have been on EE everyday for 6 days and there is no live chat for me. I think they may have stopped using that service.
  • It was 2 or 3 weeks ago, gas readings havn't been there for a couple of months
  • Gas readings are up today! Here's your chance to enter one, you may not have the chance later ;)

Are you sure that it is working? The correct boxes show but nothing happens upon submit.

Whereas Economy Energy complains about "speculation and circulating misinformation", reasserts that it will pay the OFGEM green tariffs in full, and maintains that its clients are loyal and supportive, it has nonetheless brought in KPMG to discuss refunding and restructuring.

I have been saving everything on their web portal just in case it suddenly disappears. Rather oddly, although they have used smart meter readings, they have now reverted to producing estimated bills. Their systems and processes appear to be very fragile.
I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".
  • No I didn't try entering any figures. Im at work and planned to do it during lunch.

Good idea to take a screen shot of the reading screen though !

I got the gas submittal to work by introducing leading zeros in the reading. So if your reading is 7471, insert 007471.

The electric system is temperamental today. It may work or it may not but it is necessary to add the leading zeros.

  • Both my readings were accepted today and showed instantly on the history page.

After Incorrectly billing my Aunty for 4000 units of electricity in a 3 month period (showing her as £200 in debit after being £200 in credit) they now want to increase her DD from £41pm to £58. I definitely need to have a word with them!
  • £17 extra a month is the least of her worries !
