Umm, Don't vehicles get a warning note first?
I reported a car to the police for NO MOT parked on the public highway they ignored that.
A few months later the tax and insurance had run out reported abandoned to council. notice slapped on the car in a couple of days.
owners sorted it then
have you tried the number on here

Here in Hove the clamp goes on and then 24/48 hours later it's recovered. I see them everyday, it's a great motivator for keeping my tax upto date.
OP- why not shed a little light on your corner of the U.K. so someone can give you some tailored advice.0 -
I think the idea is to make it as inconvenient as possible, it's what's called a deterrent!
You can tax your car weeks ahead what was the problem?
From your opening post you don't seem very organised, and you expect people on a parking forum to sort it out for you.
Surly if you need it for work you should be more responsible, I doubt many on here can shed more light on your circumstances than you can research yourself, after all your can't go far today.0 -
Anyone available to pick up the OP on Monday and take him to work? What good is a 'help' forum if it can't provide real help?
Don't forget, you'll need to pick him up at 5 o'clock as well. Return him via the 'pound!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Having read some of the responses by the OP, having tried to help, all I can say is that it could not have happened to a nicer person.0
