I would suggest, you install Google photos on your phone and on your computer (or indeed any device you have). You should then sync your photos from phone to Google photos.
That's to say, every time you take a photo using your phone, not only is it on your phone, but it goes to Google photos. The are stored in the cloud on both devices. This means you can clear the photos which are occupying space on your phone. But they're always accessible to view, alter.,crop print etc from Google photos.
Because they are now synced, they are viewable on your computer/laptop etc.
Another bonus using Google photos, is that you can create albums so you don't have to trawl through possibly thousands. I have albums for house, garden, holidays etc
Ps, and it makes no difference whether you use android, Windows, ios, chromebook, Google photos is everywhere. Equally the make of phone or computer has no bearing on it.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
as above just use your Google account on both
Access Google photos from the HP browser and sign in with same details
No need to install anything on computer

When you connect phone you should have a notification asking you what you want to do? It's a option when I swipe down from top on my phone.

Assuming Windoze on PC, open up File Explorer, and look at drives.
If the USB bing-bong has sounded, look for your USB device (the Huawei), and open that up to find the photos folder.
Copy/paste from there to a suitable target location on the PC.0 -
Post #7 is right ... as long as you've followed post #4 first.
Swipe down, click the notification and select the MTP option.
(It's an Android thing since - I think - version 5 [Lollipop] ... USB is automatically set to Charge Only and the user has to select MTP or PTP. It came about because some nefarious characters were setting up USB charge points - e.g. in airports - to hack into people's phones).0 -
If your phone is logged into your google account, then simply go here
log in and they will be there and you can D/L them if you wish .....

Use Google Drive, its so easy to do. Drop Box is another.
Use wifi to upload the photos unless you have a nice amount for mobile data.0
