Where to buy tickets for Tutankhamun Exhibition?

Options
I'm trying to find tickets for the Tutankhamun Exhibition and found several ticket companies online but I have no idea which ones are safe and reputable :o

How safe are for e.g. https://www.ticketswitch.com, https://www.seetickets.com, https://www.ticketmaster.com etc

Also, this site - http://www.tutankhamunexhibitionlondon.co.uk/ - appears to be an official site but when you go to buy tickets it re-directs to a company called M Daventry via https://www.ticketswitch.com.

I'm so confused and just don't want to end up getting ripped off :o

Have now managed to book some tickets via the Enjoy England website, but I noticed they also used www.ticketswitch.com as the agent to sell the tickets and the confirmation email stated that my credit card statement would display KEITH PROWSE TICKETS LONDON as the payee

I'm just going to cross my fingers now and hope that I will actually receive these tickets!

I booked my tickets HERE at the official website. That link takes you to the tickets page, HERE is the link to the main page.
You can choose to print your tickets off to take with you or to have them delivered. You can book with ticketmaster or via See tickets - I chose See tickets, purely because it was more straightforward and easier to see which dates/times were sold out.

My tickets arrived today so now I can breathe a huge sigh of relief :D

Getting excited about going now especially after seeing bits of the exhibition on yesterday's evening news :j :j :j

  • Just booked tickets through the official site and got £5.00 off by using the code on the front page - the Kellogs link. Unfortunately they charge £1 per person booking fee and £1.75 postage. Makes it very expensive for a family to visit.

Has anyone been to the exhibition yet that can report back what to expect please? i.e. how busy it is and do you get chance to look at everything properly without getting jostled about, and also how long would be a reasonable amount of time to allow in there to see everything?

We're booked to enter at 1pm on a Saturday so wondering whether we'd be done and dusted in time to book a pre-theatre meal for say 5pm ish back in Central London.

    Cheers

  • I saw most of these exhibits in the Cairo museum this summer, amazing. My daughter aged 8 was especially in awe of them :) I am sure you will love it.

  • We went at the weekend and it was great. I have been to Egypt twice and can't get enough of Ancient Egypt.
They only seem to let in at a certain number at a time, at least thats how it seemed when we went.
Everything is arranged in several galleries so theres lots to look at and plenty of space. Most of the galleries had seating of some too if you need to rest. We were there an hour and a half and took our time so you could easily see everything quicker if you wanted.
Only spoilt by the grossly overpriced gift shop at the end. I know its overpriced as I own several of the pieces of jewellery and god/goddess figures and I didn't pay anything like what they are charging for them!

Sounds fantastic, can't wait now! :j

Also great to know we won't have to rush around and miss anything too so can take our time, spending a couple of hours there if necessary and still have plenty of time to get to the restaurant :D

  • Hope you have a nice time. :)
  • I booked tickets through 365tickets.com. I was emailed a voucher to print which I apparently have to take to the voucher desk.at O2 Bubble. All seems legitimate? Going on 28th Dec and it just says an afternoon ticket so assume will have to queue. Panicked a bit cos it seemed to be difficult to get tickets for this date. Thought about getting the Thames clipper boat to O2. Anyone used this to get there? You can buy tickets online and there is a 2-4-1 offer but you need to put a code in for King Tut. Anyone came across this? Nothing on other sites that I've searched.
