First Direct free gift

I'm not sure if I am posting in the right place.
I opened a 1st direct account. At the end of October I received the link for my free gift which is part of their opening deal. I made my selection and received confirmation on 12/11/18 and that I would receive confirmation from DPD Delivery regarding delivery within 30 days or possibly sooner.
I have not heard anything from DPD - and I have been checking my spam emails as well. The only emails I have received have come from a do not reply email and their are no other contact details win the emails.
Has anyone else had this problem and how did you resolve it? I guess my first port of call should be 1st direct as I have not got an order ref or anything from DPD.
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.

I'm having similar issues with my gifts delivery, initially should have been around the 5th Nov. Then gift changed due to supply issues and should have received this by 5th Dec. When it didn't arrive then I contacted FD customer service who gave me TLC's customer service number (0330 1244107). They said they were a couple of days behind - but a week later I'm still waiting.
Good Luck - keep us posted0 -
Hi rock saga. Thanks for the number for TLC. Just spoken to them and can expect delivery 20-24th December. Sounded like they were having difficulties getting sufficient stock to fulfill orders. I suppose it is just a case of having to wait. It is annoying when companies seem to under estimate demand on offers like this - not that the free gift was the reason for opening the account. However as the gift is offered, it would be nice to receive it within a reasonable timeframe!0

I called FD today and was told that due to issues with the supplier they will no longer be fulfilling my welcome gift of the sennheiser earphones despite receiving an email to say I would have them on the 25th.
They have now said that they will be sending out an email today advising they will be offering a financial incentive instead. Basically they are just going to put money in everyone's accounts.0 -
This is the same company that deals with the Vodaphone gift promo .
I had to wait ages for the Sonos play one speaker for signing up to broadband.
I was constantly lied to about them sending it out but eventually got it.0 -

Got an email today saying £170 will be paid to be within 7 days. :money:0

Funny, I got an email saying I'll get £180. Maybe it depends how long you've been waiting or what type of perk you selected?
Still a bit miffed as the headphones I'd selected are available online for £300, appreciate the £180 for 10 minutes work doing the switch, but still...guess they'll have to stop playing those ads boasting about their customer service!0 -

The results of the next such survey will apparently be published this month (strange how it seems to coincide with MSE's own bi-annual poll, which, to be fair, has been running for many years) but I'd be surprised if a few unhappy switchers would be enough to sway the results of a reasonably scientific survey, i.e. one where the surveying company chooses the participants and asks structured questions....0
