Mobilephonesdirect return - phone scratched

I've recentley returned a phone to mobilesphonedirect as no phone service where I live, I videoed it being packaged in pristine condition with no scratches as evidence just in case.
Today they've emailed me wanting to charged £200 for repairs as they've noticed scratches on them. What are my rights and would video evidence be enough?
Thanks!

Just tell them you'll see them in court if they try to defraud you - tell them you have video evidence of the packing process prior to return which shows the phone in as-new condition, and you'll use that evidence in your claim.
How did you pay?0 -
who provided return label and packaging0

I don't think I have ever videoed a return....0

Video evidence of what? A mobile phone being boxed up, but who's mobile, yours or your friends?
Any one can swap out a phone video it and pretend it's the one being sent back. Pictures and videos aren't proof.
in fact if someone told me I videoed it I would be even more suspicious.0 -
The video was filmed as I’ve seen countless other posts of people saying they had returned a phone to them in pristine condition only to be charged £100-£200 because there’s now scratches that have magically appeared and the must pay them or the phone will be returned.
It was filmed with the return slip being boxed and sealed along with the phone showing every side of the phone I damaged and returns address on front showing clearly the name and order number on the returns label.
All they have sent is 5 photos of a damaged iPhone.
I’ve mentioned I have video evidence and they’ve asked me to send it in just awaiting the response now.0 -
Thank you for your help sorry I meant to put undamaged above not I damaged and not sure how to edit the post.0

More importantly, do they have video evidence of unpacking a damaged phone?0

Up to now they have only sent 5 photos of an iPhone 8 in an office showing a scratch on the back and 2 on the front. Thanks0
