Or the people currently living in their homes would just stay in them... what do you think happens when someone sells their home? They go and buy another one somewhere else.
Even if they go down a bit, people can just stay in them until they go back up ...0 -

If it was me, Id be fuming because I think it sounds as if they are trying it on, but Id try and concentrate on a) the fact that I hadnt expected a bonus £7k over a.p. 2) Brexit uncertainties could skew everything and make it harder to sell or get even my original asking price--- and the killer No3) Do I in any way want to be dealing with EA's, viewers , survey requests and solicitors in Spring, when Im short on sleep and concentrating on a new baby in the family .... ABSOLUTELY NOT !!! In Spring you may well be ready to trade £7k just for a guaranteed 12hr undisturbed sleep !0

It was only 8months ago me and my partner wanted 15k of a house price due a few minor things the surveyor had spotted hahaha,
the vendor was not best pleased as we were in the final stages of things,
so they gave us £3.5k off the agreed price and it all ended well.
If you don't ask you don't get.

It's people like you who add unnecessary stress to the buying and selling process. As above, I hope you feel this pain when you come to sell.0 -

8 months ago many people probably still believed that we were going to get a deal/new referendum that meant we could just stay in the EU, and forget all about the nasty little vote to leave
I bet you would get a bigger discount now. 0 -
There are some buyers that openly stated to me when they came in to arrange their mortgage that they were going to do this just prior to exchange. Normally they would be cash buyers at the bottom of a long chain and would expect (and usually get) the whole chain to split the price drop between them to avoid the chain collapsing.
The same way that some buyers agreed sales on several properties with different EA’s so they had time to think about which one they would proceed with.....
Golden rule - never take your property off the market until the buyer has arranged and paid for a survey so they will lose money if they pull out.....20 plus years as a mortgage adviser for Halifax (have now retired), and I have pretty much seen it all....:D0
