Migrating from Orange to EE
Last week I bought a new basic payg free sim mobile phone, I put my payg orange sim in and set up the new phone. I had a nightmare in trying to add credit as everytime I phoned orange I was put through to EE and they said they couldnt help as they dont have access to my account as I was an orange customer! Which is bizzare since EE haven taken over orange! I then phoned customer service again before I was eventually put through to an orange customer service advisor at my expense and put credit on my account that way. I also complained that I had been shunted back and forth trying to sort this for over a week and was offered a free £10 credit and an apology. It was also recomended that I get a new EE sim card so I said I just want a basic one not a package deal, they said they would send one out, this was on the Friday. On the following Monday I got a text from EE telling me to put my new sim card in, which I couldnt as I didnt have it! Then on Tuesday I went to use my mobile and couldnt as it came up 'invalid sim' so I again had to phone EE. I told them they had no right to disconnect me and there should have been a good 7 days for the switch over to ensure customers got their sim cards before cutting them off. I also made it very clear I only wanted a basic sim card sent out and was told it was. Yet another apology and another free credit for my phone. The technician said he would phone me on Thursday to check I had recieved the new sim.
The sim arrived this morning and I put it in my phone which was followed by several texts from EE regarding my 'package' I then went online to register with EE and checked my account and saw I had been misold a package which I never asked for ! theyve even taken £10 off my credit balance to pay for it :mad::mad:
update: I was concerned re the package I was missold in case it couldnt be cancelled because of no cooling off period so Ive just rung EE to ensure I could cancel and get a refund, which I did. I also asked for a balance and was given the wrong amount!! apparently orange had not passed my balance credit to EE ! ( which I dont get as they are suppose to be one company now) Got it all sorted thank goodness!!
