moving in for 2 weeks - haven't received a single mail !!!

Hi Guys,

We moved in on 22nd, and haven't received a single post since then !!!. and We've been calling post office to complain.. they just don't give us proper answer !.. but keep giving us useless complaint reference number :mad: . My suspicion is the previous owner has set up their post redirected, and it may be related !!..

any other thing I could do ?? I've called them N times, and holding N reference numbers now !!!. and they just refuse giving me local post office contact number !!! SO ANONYING.. any idea !?

We've been waiting important posts from bank/solicitor !

Contact the previous owners and ask them if they have your mail?

If you don't have their new phone number, call the EA who handled the sale and tell them to call the previous owners on your behalf. Tell the EA to give them your phone number.

I did that !!!..
and I've written on the card ANGRILY.. 'Dear xx, if you do receive this letter, could you send back my post!, and get the post office to check that ONLY your mails get re-directed'.

It's realy anonying me, I am now gonna call EA, and get them to call prevoius vendor, and ask for my posts !.. I don' want to talk to them in person, or even TRY to be nice, as they've left LOTS OF RUBBISH In the loft, that our solicitor's sent a letter to complain !.

How could people leave rubbish when they leave.. even when u leave the toilet, you will flush it, right !!?? .. maybe it's just me being paranoid ?

Can you tell us the story, please?

Royal Mail redirection works by taking the post addressed to a specific person, at a specific address and directing it to another specific address.

So ... you've redirected your mail from your previous address, to your new address .... yes?

And you think that this is going to the previous occupant of your current address ....?

no no.. confusing, isn't it.

we don't have any posts at our new addresss, and suspect that previous occupants have redirected their post, and must be some mistake, our posts aall gone missing !!!............. do u think post office will make manual mistakes by redirecting our post to their addreess as well..

Why don't you just go down to the sorting office, or ask your postman?

But you've redirected post from your previous address, yes?

If not, then you might not have any post to receive?

we have changed address before we moved, and everything 's in place, and have made a few phone calls to bank/solicitor, and they've been sending out letters to new address after 22nd.. that's why it really anonys me :-(

OP do you have a similar surname to the previous occupants? As when redirections go wrong the post is not normally redirected at all. I suggest you go down to the sorting office and talk to them politely as RM customer service on the telephone is not very good.

BTW lots of people leave rubbish in the loft when they move. I have no idea why but lots of my friends and family have found rubbish in their lofts when they have moved in.
