  • Thanks zingersboy.i am so pleased to hear your fine was successfully cancelled well done you!!

Do you have the link or piece of info you found regarding the delivery on the second working day after posting?

Thanks to everyone else... I will use the template letter and I have looked at the newbies forum but didn’t find anything in relation to the question I was asking. Especially the question over whether to follow the hotels advice or to just state it is unfair via POFA 2012. I am still unsure on that, if I have to start a new thread, I can do, but considering it is the same hotel where I have had the PCN in a similar time, does it not make sense to answer on this thread?

    Many thanks
    Rachel

That is in Schedule 4 of The Protection of Freedoms Act 2012.

Sub-paragraph (6) or either paragraph 8 or 9, as appropriate, states
    (6) A notice sent by post is to be presumed, unless the contrary is proved, to have been delivered (and so “given” for the purposes of sub-paragraph (4)) on the second working day after the day on which it is posted; and for this purpose “working day” means any day other than a Saturday, Sunday or a public holiday in England and Wales.
  • Amazing, thank you SO much for pointing this out so clearly to me. I really do appreciate it.
