Vodafone Red Entertainment retention deals

I'm so fed up with this dance.
Once a year my Vodafone Sim Only contract comes to an end, and every year they offer a rubbish deal to continue, so i get my PAC code.
I then call retention several times to try and get a decent deal.
In the last 5 years it's (eventually) been 50%, 50%, 50%, 50% and 40% off what's now being called the Red Entertainment package.
This year they are reluctant tooffer ANY meaningful discount. I've been offered 8gb for 19 pounds odd. Last year it was £17.40 and that was a jump from the previous years. I do value the Spotify Premium, but if I'm not a valued customer then I can get data and minutes far cheaper elsewhere.
SO.. before I quit trying, has anyone been offered a decent retention deal on a red entertainment package this year?
Thanks

Are you fed up with haggling with your mobile provider ever 12 months to get a decent deal? 7 votes

Perhaps you're no longer a profitable customer and they no longer want your business?0

I'd be inclined to agree with pmduk.
If you wished to continue with Spotify Premium then you'd probably get a better deal elsewhere, and the money you'd save could go towards purchasing Spotify for the next 12 months....It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
Just had to go through the haggle process, bit of a pain when you know they can offer it cheaper, few years back i moved my number away from them because they wouldnt offer a good deal.
About 2 weeks after i moved away they offered me a deal i would have stayed for. Too late now.
Still have 2 contracts with them and the home Fibre BB. Not impressed with the home fibre and Plusnet offer similar prices now...
But with the phone upgrade they offered a sensible deal after a while, but its the addition of securenet which i told them i dont want at all.
They still added it, and for some odd reason activated voicemail which had been disabled for over 10 years.
Premium numbers previously blocked now allowed again. WHY?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Watch out for securenet; I had it added on without my request to a new contract in early October; after 3 months it's chargeable on mine, although I'll cancel before that.0

Yeah already had the securenet scam. 100% told them to remove it on an old upgrade, This was in March. In September they started charging for it.
They said my 3 month trial had expired thats why I was being charged. Err even though i cancelled it before it began, whose calendar has Sept 3 months after March?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
