Hello,
I am currently a broadband customer with Plusnet. I may change to the Post Office for broadband.
i note from the Post Office website that if you are a customer with BT, EE, TalkTalk or Plusnet then the Post Office will work in conjunction with your current broadband provide to ' handle the switch '
I cannot post the exact link but it's there on the Post Office broadband website.
Sounds good... anyone any news with this switching service ?

This is simply the Ofcom "gaining provider led process" which should work when old and new providers use the Openreach network.
However the process can go wrong. I recently moved from BT & Talktalk to PlusNet, and I had to deal with all 3 companies to get the move to happen, and the billing sorted out.
So if you don't hear from the suppliers as you would expect then follow it up. Good luck0 -

The standard switching service mostly works reasonably well.I note from the Post Office website that if you are a customer with BT, EE, TalkTalk or Plusnet then the Post Office will work in conjunction with your current broadband provide to ' handle the switch '
The big drawback in my experience is that the provider you are leaving will stop your broadband in the early morning and the provider you are joining will connect you last thing at night. You need to plan to survive without broadband for the whole of the switchover day.0 -
Unless you're going for the fibre service check that TalkTalk have their LLU network in the area as PO piggybacks on this service. If they don't then don't bother as the alternative is a basic BT service thats not fit for purpose.Blessed are the geeks, for they shall inherit the Internet.0
