NeverendingDMP- just going back to your post, yes I am a little worried as my payments to creditors has changed slightly but I can justify why that is so. I just have to hope I don't get too much grief, mind you have had some acceptances already which I am pleased about.
Busy Christmas day for me cooking - had an extra guest for dinner, a friend of OH who would have been on his own otherwise. I felt like I'd made a difference to him today - that's what it's all about isn't it. Going out for a nice long walk tomorrow with my sister and DD. I like to walk, it clears my head. Although this time of year is good for reflection I am starting to make solid plans for my future now and it's all on my terms.
Hope you are all having a lovely Christmas :xmassmile0 -

Well done for your preparedness over Christmas. These things might seem small but actually they are huge in terms of changing spending habits and behaviours.
That is lovely to think of your husband’s friend being with you all on Christmas Day.
I think I will head out for a walk today too. A new year, a new start ... wishing you all the very best!Store card £140 £117 - Store card £150 - Overdraft £200 - PayPal £364 - Loan 1 £5052 - Loan 2 £1733 - Credit card £2890 - Car hire purchase £3200 - Savings £0.0 -
Homegrown0, Mark88man and Pidge04 - thank you for your comments. I had a liberating moment earlier today when I walked past the kitchen with all the washing up in it, and went out for my walk. New mindset kicking in. In days gone by I would have stayed in to do the washing up before going out and then I wouldn't have gone out. So came back from walking done some washing up and now I'm relaxing with a film and a glass of proseco. I'll tackle the rest of the washing up later:D.
I haven't even thought about my debt, responding to creditors or anything - I am enjoying some me time.
Need to go into town tomorrow and find some new frames for my glasses. Once I've updated the frames I will wear my glasses more, seems like my lenses are really starting to irritate my eyes for some funny reason. Mind you, I do wear them a lot.
Reckon I'll be back at the sink by about 5.30pm for the next bout of washing up :j0 -
Oops, went out like a light. Naughty proseco0

Hey Aaleigha - thanks for stopping by. I really am determined. It is also helping me address the balance in my mind, there is so much more to me than debt and I'm fed up feeling consumed by it.
Wescot have ensured that I don't feel lonely this Christmas and have contacted me by phone every day except Christmas day. I have emailed them, they're texting me as well because they need to speak to me urgently. They have taken on my barclaycard debt which is £400. I feel like answering the phone next time and saying if you take £200 I'll pay it now and goodbye.
Went out with DD today. I slipped on a muddy puddle type of thing and seem to have pulled something in my back, it really hurts. I've taken some pain killers and DD is keeping me supplied with tea:)
Off to WW tomorrow...Not looking forward to it, I've been picking at things all week, oh how I love crisps
At least all the washing up is done though :j0 -
for your back use ibroprophen gel to run in as it not only kills pain but is also an antiinflamatoy
I am out with my dd tomorrow most likely I will spend as I have saved up for new curtains for our new house (we move soon) son you will be able to say I have saved up
I know how weighing debt is and sadly we are having to take on a short term mortgage to get the retirement home we want - so I need to start saving asap to be able to pay that off asap
hope your back soon easesEmergency fund £10,000
