Camera controlled parking.

Hi , I know there’s lots of threads about camera controlled parking however couldn’t find a situation like I find myself in.

Basically I paid for an hour at a local council run car park which is maintained by premier parking solutions. Most car park machines in our town you have to type in your vehicle reg in before they issue you a ticket. However this one didn’t seem to. I paid my £2 and a ticket was issued. I know have been issued a fine to say no trace of payment.

I am in the middle of an appeal on the basis that the machine should not have issued a ticket if the car park is only manned by the cameras. The machine should not process any ticket without full information. I fee like it’s a trap. I’ve also said that although I don’t HVs eb He ticket as I assumed I had paid correctly although I believe all machines will have a record of what ticks were issued. Given we’re a small town and this car park had no other cars in my ticket would show up pretty quick. I’ve now learnt from locals the reason this at park is oaactically empty is due to long term issues with people getting foes for stupid reasons .

Anyone have any advice if they reject my appeal. Has anyone ever found themselves to be in a similar situation! And has anybody ignored these or do you really end up going to court? I’m so conflicted what to do.
