Camera controlled parking.

Hi , I know there’s lots of threads about camera controlled parking however couldn’t find a situation like I find myself in.
Basically I paid for an hour at a local council run car park which is maintained by premier parking solutions. Most car park machines in our town you have to type in your vehicle reg in before they issue you a ticket. However this one didn’t seem to. I paid my £2 and a ticket was issued. I know have been issued a fine to say no trace of payment.
I am in the middle of an appeal on the basis that the machine should not have issued a ticket if the car park is only manned by the cameras. The machine should not process any ticket without full information. I fee like it’s a trap. I’ve also said that although I don’t HVs eb He ticket as I assumed I had paid correctly although I believe all machines will have a record of what ticks were issued. Given we’re a small town and this car park had no other cars in my ticket would show up pretty quick. I’ve now learnt from locals the reason this at park is oaactically empty is due to long term issues with people getting foes for stupid reasons .
Anyone have any advice if they reject my appeal. Has anyone ever found themselves to be in a similar situation! And has anybody ignored these or do you really end up going to court? I’m so conflicted what to do.

Sorry realised a few spelling mistakes in there due to me being on my phone. Meant to say I don’t have the ticket but assume that the machines have a log of payments and tickets so hopefully I can give them the time I came to show there is a log of a payment for an hour at that time0

send them a SAR and ask for redacted copies of the PDT records for say an hour before to an hour after the parking incident, also ask for copies of all paperwork and evidence etc, by adapting the SAR on legal beagles or the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread post #2
send it to their DPO using GDPR to request it with 30 days notice
in future, KEEP your PDT tickets as they rely on people thorwing them away

and name the car park and town in question as I am sure its been on here many times before
this was a similar issue to start with

Councils are prohibited from using anpr systems in their car parks, are you sure it actually is a council car park?

there are some car parks that are leased out to parking companies, like the notorious one in Chorlton Precinct (Manchester) which is owned by Tameside Council and yet its run as a lease by Excel0
