1st Report for 2019. £6057.93 for the first two months of the year. Had a semi long holiday back to my parent's in the Far East, which cost quite a bit in flights and some watersports experience, kayaking and jetskiing under the Sun. Money is there to let us enjoy our experiences to the maximum after all. All in all a good two months!

Does the figure include pension contributions?

    Some people do, others don’t.

Personally I don’t. I only count savings made from money I actually ‘see’ whereas my pension contributions are taken directly from my pay.

  • No 12 reporting £825 in February.
    (£500 £250 and £75)

I include the additional monthly amount I’m paying into my pension as that is a key part of why I’m here. I don’t inlude the ticking along pension amount I would have paid in anyway, only the belt tightening let’s get this sorted AVC amount if you see what I mean. Good luck whatever you decide!

£88.74 declared for Feb. In my defence, I have paid for our summer break in full, finished saving for my sewing table and had unexpected dental and vet bills. Otherwise it probably would have been nearer £1k. Expecting to get a head start on March hopefully.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • Declaring £720 for February. Form done and signature updated. I'm happy with what I'm managing. I'm looking out on gumtree for camping stuff, so it might be a bit less next month, depending on if I get lucky with bargains! I read all the posts, everyone is so positive, it's a good gang, and people are doing so well.
TJB24, you're a superstar! Getting going when you're young is unusual, and it makes such a difference. Well done.
A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
You're welcome we can spare it, yellow socks

Scratching my head and wondering how you managed to do all of that in less than £1k :) I paid for our summer break last month and the flights alone were a tad over £1400 (for a family of 4). Is there a trick I am missing?

  • #47 reporting in for February, I can't believe I'm about to report this but I've managed to save £1953.80 this month!

Girlfriend finally back in work after 5 months, plus my own new job has certainly helped this month.

Keep up the good work everyone.
